Tottenham have completed the signing of Josh Keeley. Keeley will join from St Patrick’s Athletic shortly, and arrives at Hotspur Way in the wake of five goalkeepers being released across various age ranks. The teenager represents the Republic of Ireland at Under-19 level, and while he isn’t expected to be near the first-team anytime soon, it shows that Spurs aren’t just focusing on the present.

Good to see the Experience/ promise equation being levelled up
Hope he gets a chance in pre-season.
5 goalkeepers released is sad.
Did none of them show anything worth preserving?

Not sure that is accurate, there’s a lad called Lennon Branagan who spends his time following the youth teams and he thinks two of them are being kept on.

Only ever heard good things about Lo-Tutala so was shocked to see his name on that list. Could he be one?

No, he thinks both Hylton and Maguire will be training with the under 23’s next season.

Lennon is a very nice guy and well worth following on twitter, he follows the youth teams, and does great reports on players and games, he has no interest in ITK, will just let you know, if he knows.

Having had first hand experience of young keepers being ditched I feel so sorry for them, its not like they can be converted into a wing back is it!
