Baldini Comoilie weren't bad when you look at their overall contribution, I'm sure we'll be OK someone else can come in...our development structure is fruiting and most importantly we have a good manager.

Poaching, why should a club such as Leicester be poaching staff from us & if they are you have to ask yourself why?

Why does a club such as Spurs regularly poach from a club such as Southampton? We did, now ask yourself why

PS: They're poaching him (if they are) because their director of football was last month poached by Everton, that's been well-established.

Just as I thought we had a settled management team, the rug is pulled beneath us again. Not sure what has caused this as he seemed settled and I am more than happy with the players he has brought in. Maybe Levy, maybe poaching( we did poach him from Southampton) maybe he just fancied a change.
A real loss but I wish him well for the future and hope we find a suitable replacement.

Interesting article from the Guardian saying this is potentially connected to the Nkoudou deal: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/aug/10/tottenham-georges-kevin-nkoudou-marseille-collapse

Smells like the same 11th hour shenanigans that Levy pulled on Lyon when buying Lloris which almost led to the collapse of that deal.

While we don't know if the Nkoudou transfer is the problem, we know, from the reports over the last few years, that Levy likes to take in every last penny. This tactic has, at times, benefited the club greatly. Other times, however, it's better to leave a bit on the table. Levy needs to mix it up, otherwise it may be harder and harder to do amicable business as time goes by. As it stands, Nkoudou seems cheap enough to justify so much haggling. Of course, as suggested by Bilko, there may be other reasons, and Poch may not want to let Njie go.

I knew this already but I thought Poch was happy to have Mitchell on board but that seems not to be the case.

Why did we go over his head and appoint him without consulting him?
When I saw that he was off to Leicester, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry, it's bad enough that Leicester win the premium last season, now they are taking our staff, WTF!

Mitchell must be really unhappy. Tottenham wouldn't be Tottenham without some fucking drama going on when you don't expect it.

We'll probably never know exactly what happened but I think that we're all getting ourselves way too worked up about it. We should just focus on what happens on the pitch rather than all the background stuff that we never really have all the facts about.

I am worked up about it because it took us a while and a couple of managers to get the right scouting team together. If we don't get the next appointment right it will cost us

I understand that completely but these things happen and we don't know the full facts. Of all we know, maybe Mitchell wasn't working out as well as the club had hoped.

Well the Guardian are fairly clear . They say that after the regime change at Marseille , Levy tried to renegotiate the payments .

Marseille 'unhappy with the structure of payments proposed by Levy having previously agreed to pay the majority of the fee upfront '

It could be deduced that due to typical Levy prevarication we have lost the incoming player PLUS an important part of our scouting team .

Worth it for a mill or two saved Danny boy d'ya think ?

I wouldn't read too much into that interview with Poch. He would have had a non-solicit clause in his contract that specifically prohibited him from personally poaching (soliciting) previous colleagues from following him. If he had admitted or been involved in those discussions, he would be in hot water.
