Tottenham Hotspur explored signing Matthijs de Ligt before he moved to Bayern Munich, but turned away when they realised the price he would cost to snap up.

I don't think we need to be spending stupid money on a CB. I'd be quite happy with Kim Min Jai as a versatile option who could cover any of the back 3 positions. We'd also have the choice of who to keep out of Sanchez, Rodon and Tanganga. Kim is big, strong, good in the air, good with both feet, pretty good on the ball and also young. If we were to get the likes of Skriniar or DeLigt I think that might disrupt squad harmony, and Dier is our natural leader at the back. Kim would also offer enough competition to keep the others on their toes.
