It's exciting that we have 4 players on course to hit double figures for league goals scored, one of whom could realistically hit 20.

Four goals v Watford, produced by three players.

2 goals, 1 assist for Harry Kane. Finished first half of the season with ten goals in the league.
2 goals Dele Alli. He has now ten points in all competitions.
2 assists Kieran Trippier. A new face on the list.

Still some popular names who haven't scored or assisted a goal this season: Moussa Dembele, Jan Vertonghen, Eric Dier, Ben Davies, GK NKoudou and Kevin Wimmer.

Total Trippier doesn't add up.

Kane doesn't get an assist for the third goal then? I'd count Kaboul's touch as a deflection more than anything else and Ali would have scored if Kaboul had left it. If a defender makes similar contact with an on-target shot, it doesn't count as an own goal...

I can only repeat myself. According to the official Premier League stats an assist only counts after direct contribution. As soon as there is a deflection, the assist doesn't count. Debatable, but that is how it works for years now.

Sorry if you've posted that before (multiple times).

It is strange that the criteria is so different for goals and assists, but at least it explains why I am often underwhelmed by the official number of "assists" that creative players get in general.

If kaboul doesn't touch it the ball goes to the gk.

No chance that's an assist for Kane

I had remembered it wrong. Saw another replay last night. Son may have beaten the keeper to it, but Alli was nowhere near.

2 amazing assists for Eriksen
2 great goals for Alli, who now has 10 in the league after just 20 games.

Eriksen is still missing an assist in the CL.

Added it. Had it given to Walker at that time it seems. Sorry for the few mistakes tha last months. Trying to be more accurate in the future again

Goals for Davies and Son in the FA Cup and an assist for N'Koudou and Sissoko.

I reckon the DGP will give Eriksen that goal and Rose will get an assist, so:

Kane - 3 goals
Eriksen - 1 goal, 1 assist
An assist each for Walker, Rose and Alli

Double deflection, but it certainly looked to be on target without, so should count as Eriksen's goal...even if the keeper may have had it covered.

Premier League doesn't give the goal to Eriksen. A shame but on that fact I neither give it to him.

Kane 3 goals, Eriksen, Walker and Alli one assist. That makes Kane our new total leader with 17 points.

They might give it to him the next time the Dubious Goals Panel sits.
