We are too naive from a tactical point of view. After they scored their first goal, we need to play deeper. Our defensive line was way too high.

Their badge turned sideways looks like a limp dick. They’ll never escape that.

Agree, although whatever alegri did factually 5 Mins before their goals won them the game, we couldn’t cope with it.
Yep. I'm not even sure there was time between the subs and the goals and enough exposed threat to warrant a change from Pochettino. They literally scored with their two attacks after that sub.

It should have been the players that adjusted. Both Trippier and Vertonghen should have been around further on the cover for the second, Sanchez should have done better either dropping off or stopping Higuain, and we were all caught flat-footed for the first.

I swear all you people claiming bottling completely missed the tactical change Allegri made that completely sucker punched us. It was brilliant coaching and before we knew it we were behind.

Anyone using the b-word should be banned. Tonight was nothing to do with that. We had all pressure and chances after 1-2, we never did a PSG who switched off completely.

You're correct about Allegri. Could you not see the warning signs before they scored we needed a change to combat this? So by not seeing this we bottled it in a way. Now you can ask for me to be banned.

Haha. You talk like you assume I'm a teenager. Mate im sure we are both old ****s. Doesn't matter if it was a loss against Burnley or a loss against this lot. Relegation battle or champions league last 16. It will always hurt. That's part of the deal.

Didn't assume your age at all. But losing to Juve in the champions league would have been a dream compared to struggling to Coventry city

No pressure on him whatsoever, besides the pressure he puts on himself of course.

In all seriousness, maybe there should be some pressure on him and ultimately the players. If they don't understand how to succeed under pressure, they'll win nothing.

What's so frustrating is that juve were doing nothing up until they scored, the most they were doing were kicking our players about out of frustration.

Changed your mind again huh, what a surprise lol

Is that all you live for? To tell people they are wrong or to shit on people when they have just watched the club they love get knocked out of the champions league? Why do you even bother fucking posting? It’s like you’re an emotionless robot that just wants to criticise people because they show passion for their club.

Are you taking joy in it? You don’t seem at all bothered by the result, more focused on trying to take sly pops at a fellow spurs supporter than actually giving a shit about the result?

I don’t want to hear some happy clapper bollocks right now, we had the tie in our hands and WE blew it.

Tactically naive, mentally feel apart after they scored their first goal as well.

The questions are always going to be asked about us until we actually show up in games like this, away against Juve we showed a maturity that felt like we had turned a massive corner, same thing in the first half tonight.

But the SECOND that goal went in for Juve I could see it written across our players, THOSE are the moments when we see just how far we have come and every single time
over the last two years one of those moments have presented themselves we have done this, failed to finish the job, it’s continuous false dawns for us, at some point we have to learn.

Also, some of us are capable of changing our minds rather than thinking in a linear fashion, you can criticise me all you want and I might even look back at this post tomorrow and cringe and feel stupid but at least I know I had the fucking guts to
speak my mind and not be some sheep that constantly takes pleasure in making other spurs supporters feel like shit about emotional reactions for their team.

I love Spurs and it hurts when shit like this has happened watching them my entire life.

It happens time and time again, I am sick of saying “Oh well, maybe next year” or “So proud of the lads” when I know we are good enough to win games like this, we were the better team tonight but due to our tactical naivety and inability to find that winning edge that we desperately need, we have failed, again.

I am logging off for the night, you can take pleasure in moaning at other spurs supporters for once.

They seem to be one of those teams that ride their luck and are just super clinical - bit like Chelsea and Leicester in their title winning seasons.

This, also us scoring didn't change anything for them. They knew they still needed to score at least once possibly twice.

There's a reason why they have won 5 serie a titles in a row. And also made CL finals. Juve are a fantastic team, we pushed them all the way but ultimately were just a bit short.

That's the hurdle we have, competing with these top teams and winning the matches at the business end when it really matters. It's not an easy hurdle to overcome.

Yes we do have leaders you can't go 17 games unbeaten without leaders.

Our mentality has improved vastly the last stage is being more ruthless more clinical. Once we win one trophy that will be the dawn awakening .

Never mind, I expect that Adrian Durham will offer a balanced perspective on it tomorrow.

By your definition of bottling we'd "bottle" every single game we lose after taking the lead, no matter how well we play.

That term can only apply to one team this midweek and that's PSG, who didn't even seem to try after massively hyping their game for weeks.

And that is the last I'll say on this forum tonight.

That’s gutting.

We should have reacted when they made the changes and we started looking vunerable. However, Poch seems like someone who does learn from moments like this. We sucked in the CL last season, Poch learnt and we anilihated the group stages this time. Next time, maybe he learns how to handle those moments when the game changes and we kick on.

Ferguson took time to get his team winning against the best teams. Poch is doing it at a tougher time against better teams. We’ll be fine.
