Can't see that happening, FA will miss out on a load of revenue from fans.
FA get 10% of the ticket revenue to redistribute, so I guess around £40k, not a huge amount. Between us still being in the Champions League and Rochdale's huge fixture problems due to all their postponements I'm just struggling to see when on earth it could be played.

I'm just praying the Huddersfield game goes ahead as I've got tickets. Apparently we're due another deluge of the white stuff on Friday.

If it's called off, the next time Rochdale are available other than during the international break is the 25th of April which is obviously too late, so they'd have to postpone a league fixture to fit the cup tie in earlier. Maybe we could ask to move the Bournemouth match back to Saturday (or Friday night), postpone Rochdale vs Southend, and play around the 13th of March. The problem there is that if we went through we would be due to play the quarter final three days later, but that probably isn't feasible, especially as there's already issues foreseen with scheduling that weekend. So the Newcastle game due to be postponed if we make the QF would be reinstated, and the game away to Chelsea straight after the international break would be moved instead to whatever midweek they're pencilling Newcastle in for (which would piss off the TV companies no end). If there's an option to just get it done with tonight fans or no fans it seems like a lot less hassle for them.

I'm considering waking at at 3.45am to watch this. Don't know if I can do it to myself with a 10 hour work day tomorrow, though.

As Wembley have taken the step of tweeting that the game is still going ahead (clearly an indirect response to Jake Humphreys' tweet), and haven't given any indication that this is subject to weather developments etc, it would look awfully misleading and warrant a lot of criticism if the game was subsequently called off. I expect it to be fine.

If it were called off it would be re-scheduled for the weekend of the 1/4 finals.
That's what used to happen when there were multiple replays.
The 1/4 final against Swansea would then be scheduled for the week that the replays would take place.

Oh and if anyone genuinely thinks it could be called off - go take a look at footage of Peterborough's game last night...

Except there are no quarter final replays any more and therefore no slot to use for it.

No way it doesn’t go ahead. It’s on a bit of snow FFS. They’ll grit round the stadium and get the underground heating on and everything will be fine.

Only if the bakerloo line goes down will there be a problem.

The conditions were were worse for the Man U game 4/5 years ago and that went ahead and that was without the council in Tottenham gritting the pavements that day.

Wasn’t that game at Old Trafford?
