Refs will defer to VAR to the point where they will surrender independent common sense judgement. Their confidence will be incrrasingly eroded as there will always be that doubt. I feel the same sort of thing has hapened in cricket. Umpires increasingly turned to ciphers.

Maybe a rule.change? I'm sure refs used to make them retake the pen. Maybe with fucking var there isn't time games will last 3 hours
