Summed it up perfectly Chris. We need VdV in and around the box more to support Defoe and also for a moment of magic.

Im not sure what to think of Bales performance, I dont want to be too hard on him but he doesnt seem to be at it at all today, looks a bit disinterested at times and giving up too easily.

i think if we can get that goal then spammers heads will drop, we battered them the 1st half, that was evident from the desperate lunge from Parker on VDV near the end, they know they were lucky.

Charlie needs to start picking his passes a bit better. 3 excellent chances to put players in....

Modic hasbeen getting so much space in the middle. VDV dropping too deep is giving him fewer options. Bale needs to start taking his man on round the outside. maybe drop a bit deeper on th eleft.

Good play, by far the most possession, just can't get the ball in the back of the net.

Modric our best so far, Charlie's passing atrocious and proving to be a weak link. Lennon not at his best either.

Frustrating first half. Perhaps Pav will be the answer up front.
