Just googled his signings for Everton. Made me go all 'Ted Hastings'. It's like a Who's Who of shite footballers.

Educated, talks a good game, seems a pleasant enough bloke and, most importantly, he would be cheap as chips. I read that he earns about 2.5m Euros as Belgium manager, which means DL would only need to pay him, say £4m annually and when he is sacked next year, there wouldn't be too much compensation to pay.

Right up Levy's street.

If the only criteria for the job was as listed in the first 3 sentences of your post , then Levy should offer me the job..
Hold on lack of niceness may disqualify me...

Scott Parker is somewhat inexperienced wouldn't you say? So rather surprised than confused
Oh, yeah, I'm surprised too! The bookmakers' favourite has changed about 10 times, but Parker has remained second or third in the list throughout (for whatever that's worth). Playing well (read 'organised') for about a quarter of a Premier League season shouldn't qualify you for the job.

Daniel Levy, the Tottenham chairman that made Mourinho the second highest paid manager in the world? And had Pochettino also in top-10 before that? That Daniel Levy?

Never let facts get in the way of your engrained "Daniel Levy would rather save a penny than have success" narrative.
You do realise what you have written in your first paragraph makes you sound like an idiot

Have we actually been linked with anybody that can take us all the way to the promised land.. !
I genuinely ignore all the new coach player transfers and summer stuff until it happens. I like him but not a fan. There’s always an element of luck whoever you get

So we may have sacked a man who potentially would have put the chance of actually winning something above the very remote chance of CL qualification....
for a man who threw his whole club under the bus to win the FA Cup. They are still under that bus, while he has been fancy-danning around the elites of international football.

Here is a man so tactically inept, he let Defoe score the same goal 9 times (was it?) in a game.
It's a 'no' from me.

Not forgetting he brought Thierry Henry to the Belgian coaching team

But hasn’t JJ already said we have someone lined up and have agreed terms with. If this is true why are we all still speculating?

It's ingrained, not engrained.

It seems that whomever the great ghenghis baldy appoints, there will be large swathes of oppressed spurs fans hating it..... since it looks like the best options have all but melted into the nothingness of wishful thinking.

Quality comeback.

What can I say? I'm not English so I checked the dictionary. And seeing as they allow engrained I felt it was okay also for me.

Only way that headline is redeemable is if "Roberto Martinez" is a planet and Tottenham Hotspur have made history by discovering alien life.

Your written English is still far superior to most native speakers.

The bloke who was fired from Everton for being shite?

LOL
Haven’t all managers been fired for being shot somewhere? Not super keen on him either but he’s better than a fair few being touted imo.
