He would be a great 3rd striker. Hopefully get rid of Adebayor & this guy would be ideal: he puts a lot more effort in; he's worked with Pochettino & has credited him for turning him into the striker that got his move to Liverpool.
Win-win if he's only in the £2.5-3 million bracket. If, and its a big 'IF', but if we could get the pacey-Berahino we could utilise him as on the left-side as a wide inside-forward & keep Lambert on the bench. I think that could work. Could do with getting Werner in & get him to operate on the right. Could be quite the surprise.
He has had a really tough season at Liverpool and his confidence will be shot to shreds. However I did like him at Southampton and thought then he would be a good buy for us before Liverpool stepped in. I feel that depending on the price he may well be a good addition to our squad and Poch will get the best out of him. If his confidence is restored he will score goals and is physically strong. The downside is his age but his experience will help the team.
Is anyone else not thinking we are only interested to annoy WBA - and we will just get them to do a deal over Berahinio. Us pulling away from Ricky Lambert if we sign their player.
Not the type of player to fire us into the top 4 and wouldn't like him to sign personally but can't be any worse than the other 2 and for a few million could be decent back up,but it is worrying being linked with him to be honest.
