Maybe. I remember Rose impressing at Sunderland and their fans wanted them to spend the full budget I n him. In the past we’ve sold players for good fees after loans. I hope Clarke has a good loan to entice a higher fee.

How many loans did Kane have, with many saying he’d never make it, before he came good?
At 20 Clarke can still make it with us. The club obviously have the patience to persevere with loaning him out to gain experience. Hopefully something clicks this time.

Seems to work ok for Chelsea. It's not always the case that they're in limbo. Sometimes being associated with a big club keeps them in the shop window. He does need to be playing somewhere and developing though.
