To be honest, unless we can afford a Suarez or Aguero who can make their own goals, it'll be the same story whoever we sign. We need someone who can turn a defence and find a striker accurately.
Of course we could do with more creativity, but I dont see why Poch would change his system to include someone who can, in your words "put a cross in" in order to get the best out of a misfiring striker who's not even in the team(Soldado).

I don't know for sure, but it's usually a safer bet at least in the context of a single season (comparing the two different levels of experience.) Longer term, sure, Prichard could be a better player, we'll have to wait and see.
Pritchard has more ex playing in England and is a fantastic player we really need to stop under valuing our youth and buying foreign crap! When we have an accademy to be proud of. Pritchard was one of the most converted young players in the next gen watch him against Milan and barca. Also there are other players a side from Pritchard who could step up this season.

Would rather we recall Pritchard from Brentford, to be honest.

Personally, I'd like both here, Konoplayanka and Pritchard. We need to improve our attacking options. At the moment we have 3 genuine contenders for the three attacking midfield positions. Not healthy. It makes us predictable and creates complacency.

I understand the sentiment, but we cannot forego necessary reinforcements altogether just because last year's foreign crop didn't perform. The entire purpose of bringing in Broomfield on the verge of signing for Arsenal is to invest in doing a better job of identifying talent better suited to the Prem. As of right now, while I'm very high on the near future prospects of Pritchard, he is nowhere near the level of immediate quality Konoplyanka can provide. IMO, he is also nowhere near the level of Prem-ready ability as Konoplyanka possesses. If the staff thinks he, or any other foreign player, can do a job then I'm all for it.
