Tottenham Hotspur are confident that Harry Kane will commit his long-term future to the club and want to reach an agreement over a new contract in early 2023. Kane's current deal expires in the summer of 2024 and he has been heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich in the near future as his search for a first career trophy goes on.

Spurs have wasted this guy in the last 3 years. Playing on the counter and feeding off scraps has been such a waste of his talent. When you have a player with his finishing skills, you should be making sure that he has many touches in the opposition box as possible. Instead, we have done the opposite for him. Kane would be daft to sign another contract with Spurs, he should go to a better club and Spurs need a pacy forward that will be better suited for the counter attacking game.

All he needs to do really is keep his counsel and wait until the summer. There is no way that the club will allow him to leave on a free in 2024.

If he's so wasted, in our style of play, he probably wouldn't have scored almost a goal per game this season. He also probably wouldn't have won both the PL Golden Boot + Playmaker of the Year awards under Mourinho (where our tactics were more negative and Kane dropped deeper).

Yes, a different style of play may allow him to score even more goals, but I'm really not convinced it would allow him to contribute more to his team. In reality, asking him to sit on the shoulder of the defence is more likely to limit him, because he isn't a pacey striker in the vein of Defoe or Owen.
