Aaron Lennon, Paulinho, Etienne Capoue, Kyle Naughton, Younes Kaboul and Emmanuel Adebayor are all on the chopping block

Please let's get rid - Lennon, Paulinho, Capoue, Naughton, Kaboul, Adebayor, Rose, Soldado, Townsend(?). None of them would be purchased by a top four team and it's unlikely that any of them will improve at Spurs. To be honest I'm even struggling to see that Stambouli and Dembele are really up to that much - especially if they can't play as well as two improving homegrown players.

To be honest, if we did ship all them out, I wouldn't mind s second half the season slog where we placed faith inhouse even if it ended in us 7/8/9th, so long as it meant we'd cleared the deadwood and started the summer with a lean squad ready to be added to with fully scouted purchases.

Has Lennon been given a chance by poch to warrant inclusion on this list though?
Last nights game, to me, showed he would have been an alternative to townsend/chadli to bring off the bench.
We could do with his directness and willingness to get to the by-line as opposed to our inverted wingers.
Not sure of the ins and out of the story, but there must be legs to the rumours of a rift with poch

The rumours he was part of he problems regarding Kaboul adbayor capoue ect. The problem is no one has any money in world football except for the big teams in each league. Now these players won't be going to them and they are on wages too high for the smaller teams. It leaves it very very hard to sell any of these players

Poor signings has put us in a position where we have a lot of deadwood we need to shift

I hope levy accepts the mistakes that were made and sees the need to correct them by accepting realistic fees to get rid of them

I'd happily see us get shot of Kaboul, Ade, BAE, Capoue, Soldado, paulinho, chiriches, Naughton

I'd give more time to Lamela, stambouli and Fazio

I'd only sell Demebele if we can bring in an upgrade

But like a previous poster said I'd happily see us write this season off to get rid of most of these duds and give youth a chance to flurious so that now and in the summer we can slowly add the type of imported quality that will add real value to our squad and see us come back stronger

Some of the signings since the bale window have been up there with the biggest flops in our history £ gor £ and we will probably have to take a hit and make some brave moves to correct them

I'm sure you are in the minority to write season off.
Did you see the reaction to yesterday's result! We have a chance for top 4 here. We should only sell once upgrade have Been brought in

I'm sure I am

When I say write it off however - I mean I will accept not achieving our goals if we did so because we introduced more kids and shipped our some of the flops, because ot would be some thing of a gamble

That said I'm not sure that we would be dramatically less likely to qualify for top four or win a cup if we did so than we would be with some of the players I mention

I think top four is unrealsitic this year personally even though we are in touching distance at the moment But I don't thin, the likes of Capoue and paulinho will actually make any difference to our ability to achieve this

I see the need to trim the fat in our squad - ship out several and bring in only a few players of the right quality and right skill set to fit and improve our squad , this will probably take at least 2 windows realistically

Those 6 would be the perfect 6. Get in 2 or 3 top quality players and happy days!

It is worrying how many players are not good enough beyond the first team. I would happily see us sell Kaboul, Chiriches, Naughton, Capoue, Lennon, Townsend, Paulinho and Adebayor. As long as we have replacements to come in, with the exception of Naughton (who is replaced with Yedlin) and Capoue (who is replaced with Stambouli). It will take this and the summer window to get it done though. If Soldado continues to disappoint then he would also need replacing in the summer.

Hard to move out because of their wages and Levy's prices, can't bring in because of our current wages bill.
Stuck no matter if Levy's willing to take a hit or not.

All The Mirror have done is taken the existing rumours about 6 players and made it into one article.

Lazy and rubbish journalism.

This is supposed to be a season of transition anyway. Whether we finish top 4 or not is, IMO, irrelevant. Not saying I wouldn't want to finish there. Just that we have more important priorities this season such as clearing the deadwood, fixing our 'typical Tottenham' mentality/ attitude and sorting out our recruitment system among other things. Those things need to be sorted out first if we're to see any real growth as a club.

We will struggle to offload these now so may have to wait to the summer. We should concentrate our efforts on getting Delph and Konoplyanka both available on free transfers at the end of this season, we should be negotiating with them now and get them secured for the summer...both should be an upgrade and no transfer fee.....Levy's kind of deal?

Get a decent striker in a,s,a.p, then let Soldado go on loan to Spain. Paulinho; Capoue and Adebayor can go, even if Spurs lose money selling them.
Keep trying with Kaboul, Cririches, Lennon and Townsend...(use them in Cup games maybe); this way we can keep the rest of the squad fresher and still hope some of these players will work out; they are all very close i.m.h.o.

It's a terrible situation we find ourselves in where we are genuinely left with dross that we paid over the odds for, are now surplus to requirements and we have a Chairman who wants unrealistic fees for. I would guess that most of the mentioned players will just let their contracts run down.

Every transfer window we're having a 'mass clear-out'. Yet to materialize. Until we accept reasonable/realistic offers, we're stuck with them.

I would even suggest we just let the long-term problem players leave on a free. That way, we save money on wages, the player will probably get a signing on bonus at new club. Win Win

I think you'll find that this generation of players will want their pie and eat it, eg get their Spurs contract paid in full and get their signing on fee. That's why players are so difficult to shift if they don't want to go.
