Him and Friedel would get on, I suppose, seeing that they are within a few years of each other's age.

I was thinking this a few days ago. Agree with CanberraSpur, think his wage demands may be just a tiny little bit extortionate, which would be the deal breaker. Still a top player, mind.

I too think it's likely that Levy will sign a player on a very high wage when we don't have a manager.

This may sound a little harsh, but 99.9% of newspaper sports writers are lying, cretinous c*nts. I've come to this conclusion after over 25 years of reading newspapers. I rest my case...

It took you 25 years to realise this? Did you also ring the 0898 footbal gossip numbers when you were younger? ;-p

Metro really seems to scrape the barrel with it's sport reporting - it's consistently shite. I suppose that's what you get with a free paper.

I didn't know people still read papers! I work in a depot that delivers newspapers through the night here in the south west. They currently shred a skip load every morning of the unsold papers from the day before. I think it's something like 1 to 2 tons

Why do they keep making so many extra every day?

When he was in Russia he was, at one point, the highest paid player on the world.
My guess is if he offered to halve that it'd be twice as much as we'd pay.

Whether signing the diver diva is true or not, we really shouldn't be talking transfers until we get a new manager, unless it's Neymar or a shock return for Bale.
