I'm sure his best years are still ahead of him, and he has a great injury record.

Not sure we should be going after this player. He will be 33 and is coming to the end, do we really want to splash out on his wages.

I am not going to pretend to know much about this particular target. But I think a few Naybet and David type signings are something we haven't done anywhere near enough.

An experienced leader to help the likes of Rodon on a short deal would be great.

I remember Cambiasso playing for Leicester on a 1 year deal the season we played Mason and Bentaleb throughout the season. That signing might have got us CL football that season.

If true that just about sums up the clubs ambition. A freebie vet.
Were Naybet, Davids, Ibrahimovic, Cavani, Cambiasso etc all signigns of no ambition?

I remember Gary Mccalistair inspiring Liverpool and playing a big part in them winning 3 trophies in a season.

Some key bullshit trigger words in there.

Funny to see some overreacting to this. Until he shows up in the press conference with a Tottenham kit, I'll just ignore the bs.

In terms of quality, he'd be a great signing. In terms of injury record, it would be more like signing King / Woodgate than Naybet / Gallas.

Any 2 of Sanchez ,Dier or Toby could leave and with limited money buying one centreback and getting another freebie seems to make sense.

I suspect Mourinho would like him. The club, not so much. Another over thirty on over a hundred grand a week. Nah.

Seriously guys I would ignore any new names being linked. There's no way we start going after new targets with a limited budget when a new manager isn't i100% n place.

Most encouraging part about this is Trix and him basically stating that we are trying to get a new manager. I know if only reconfirms what the ITK's are saying but I am just so desperate for it to happen that it's about the only positive that can be taken these days.

We need to be reducing the average age of our squad. Lets hope this is just agents talk.

I remember when Juve signed old Pirlo. I told my Juve-supporting brother in law, what a grandpa, why did you bother. He just looked at me with pity. Made me eat my words Pirlo did...
We need steel and experience.
That's why I think we should have brought Costa in for free.
Young players need to learn off experience.
