Tottenham have tabled an offer for Bolton Wanderers rising star Luca Connell. The Champions League finalists are trying to beat a host of Premier League clubs to the capture of the 18-year-old, who is a full-back who can also play in central midfield.

I've noticed that this "news" are received without much - if any - excitement (of course, it's not going to turn Pochettino's head about him wanting Spurs to invest in talent)....as I have a feeling it's not only Danny Rose who have to google him to find out who he is
But, should he sign, I see it as a good thing that few - if any - are excited about his coming...because a few of Spurs' best signing also arrived with little fanfare

Never heard of him. Nevertheless it's about time we tried to pick up some of the talented young players in the lower leagues (...again).

So many young players coming through the rye now. Encouraging for English football.

In my time as a Spurs fans these are the sorts of deals that invariably turn out well for us, right back to the days of Mabbutt, Roberts and Galvin etc.
A lot of outlets running with it so it might have some legs.
