He can’t continue to charge us what he does in a stadium like ours and deliver fkin Conference league which is largely inevitable given the ambition being shown by other owners.

The Conte and Kane thing surely brings him down

Unless the Qataris save his ass

You used the last window to define spend. Comparing us to west ham, and Nottingham forest. When I state that window, we spent more than arsenal, you now go off two summer windows. It's easy to move the goalposts just to win an argument.
You surely aren't claiming making a signing that we were obligated to make means we spent more than arsenal. If spurs were to make Kulu perm this window would you also claim we have strengthened and out spent arsenal this window. The mental gymnastics some want to do to protect Levy and Enic is a joke. We injected 150m in the the transfer Kitty. We had CL and a higher match day revenue than arsenal. To 'outspend' them by only 10m when 40m of our spend was an obligation signing that would have surely been budgeted for the previous year. People did the same when they claimed Jose was backed because we made Lo celso perm which again we had to do. Some of you need to wake up to the reality to what our owners are really like

This was posted on Twitter last night by the user Spursspurano but quickly taken down by the poster. I don't know if any of it is true but thought it might be worthy of discussion as we're all worried about what might be going on at the board level
--------------------------''

Thinking of coming off Twitter for a while to limit the overload in exposure to this tortuous club. However, in the past week I have been told some information which I find fairly reliable, but disappointing.

1. There's disharmony within the #THFC board
2. This is due to...
2. (cont) the expected investment not being forthcoming & confirmation that it wont be from JL's side
3. Confirmation that JL hasn't put a penny in, this injection was promised during Poch & then last summer
4. JL's shares ARE available for purchase, his only
5. Levy bemused by
5. (cont) ..criticism & it is felt by him/members of Board that he is 'carrying the can'
6. In past negotiations, DL has insisted that he remain within the stucture post take over.
7. There are various suitors for JL's shares, which has impacted the MU/Liverpool interest
8. Comments are that #THFC would be valued 'a lot' more than Chelsea
9. DL, whilst bemused, is 'poker faced' about the whole situation.
10. Transfer budget will increase, but structure remains
‐--,,-,,-------------'
It was also stated Levy would want to stay in his position for 5 years if JL's shares were sold.

What's the actual definition of spend? To pay for something. We had to buy players under obligation, it's still spend.

The reason the accounts have been delayed is because they don’t want to announce the huge profits in January

why we aren't buying anyone. It makes zero difference. None of the figures are going to be that shocking to anyone who works within football

Well considering how much of a finance guy Levy is, I'm not going to believe that he signed romero on loan with an obligation without budgeting for the transfer on the day he was signed on loan. Anything could have happened Covid could have returned lockdowns etc etc. If you think when Conte was bought in he was told 1/3 of your transfer budget next summer is already gone on romero then I don't know what to say. Why do some of you allow levy and Enic to claim transfers twice. Like when people started saying about reggie as we didn't need to start paying back his fee for 2 years and people start saying oh that's impacting the budget. You don't just sign a 50m player without having a budget in place. But if you really want to talk about spend knowing levy payment plan of paying over 5 years we actually spent far less than arsenal as romero only cost us 8m this summer not 40m. Only a fraction of the richarlison fee would have been paid. Or do you want to do more financial gymnastics. You can't have it both ways when it comes to spend

Thanks for posting. It’s probably rubbish given it’s from Twitter but the one thing I’ve never understood with the criticism coming out about Levy is that Lewis’ daughter was apparently wanting to spend big but Levy wasn’t. Why would Levy care about Lewis wasting his money?

Yes, I'm sure we did budget. I'm not doing financial gymnastics. You use the term spend, We had to spend to bring in romero.

Prior to that he's on loan, and therefore not being accounted for as an asset. All clubs spread payments over the contract length, it's standard practice to amortise player assets over the contract length.

I'm quite certain the budget was dependent on selling players, who were not required, such as lo celso and Ndombele.

Anyway, this circular conversation is going knowhere. As I have said on numerous times. I don't care about how much we spend. Just about how we're spend it. We seem to not have a plan, and are too reactive.

Nothing to do with buying people, all to do with the perception of us fans knowing we have a tonne of money and those in charge are choosing not to invest

I’ve been considering owners of ever-decreasing morality to try and test where my line is drawn.

I’ve got as far as Harold Shipman so far. Threshold still not reached.

Tony Blair next.

UPDATE:

I’ve got as low as David Hasselhoff.

Threshold still not reached.
