With the ongoing conflict/war in the middle west, I’d think any potential buyers of Tottenham from that region will likely be put on hold.

edit - oops middle east I meant…

Other than having a shit ton of money, does he have any experience of football club ownership? What will his plan be for running a club? We made Levy put out a plan, I assume that if he glances in our direction he'll be under the same scrutiny.

Or is it just all about having money now?

He would probably do what Sheikh Mansour did and go out and get the best in class for football operations.

I very much doubt he would be involved in the day to day.

Or he might do what the Qatari’s at PSG have done and spaff millions up the wall on individuals because of their name rather than their suitability.

There’s no knowing which way it would go.

They’ll definitely end up buying another Club, and they won’t let the glazers mugging them off for so long go.

Stump up enough cash and they could buy anybody.

I’d go further than that , I think and have always had the opinion that no Middle East / Arab country would ever want to buy us purely because of the Jewish links to our club , maybe I’m wrong but to me it would be akin to Catholics buying Rangers or vice versa.

If they do look at another club, suspect a good chance it will be Liverpool. Although wouldn't be completely surprised if they ran into similar issues there. I'm not convinced these US based owners are ready to move on, especially at clubs like Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal quite yet unless it's a offer they simply can't refuse as maybe they see more mileage to be had out of things such as TV/broadcasting rights, games potentially abroad etc. Seen more US ownership in the league (thing it's currently 9 clubs now?) and can see them working collectively and try and influence things more in line with how they do with their teams over there.

Weren't West Ham the club they were interested in if United didn't happen?

As for us, I dunno, unless Lewis wants rid I have no clue how serious this sale talk is, aside from some people wanting to buy a premiership club and we happen to be one. Especially as a minority shareholder and the chairman still cling to the hope that the premier league and UEFA will cut their biggest draws off at the knees and actually enforce FFP rigidly.

Can you imagine how delightfully devastated everyone in Manure's dressing room is right now? :joyful:

From Erik Seven Hag dreaming of a billion squid for a January transfer kitty, to twats like Bruno Fernandes dreaming of half a £££ million bonus for every goal scored under Qatari ownership. Aaah all that gone now.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

I don't want us to go down that road but I don't agree. The UAE have formal ties with Israel now for example. I'm not going to expand on this as a area of debate as we are not going down that road but the obstacle to us being sold to anyone is Daniel Levy's unwillingness to move away from his current position.

I don't see ENIC/Levy moving on unless some mega mega bid comes in and are new owners willing to carry on with the hotel and residential blocks project, personally happy to stay basically British (Bahamas) owned.

I agree with that except I’m happy to have new owners. Levy kicking out on Ange doesn’t make me forget about all the mistakes before his appointment.

I hope that we don't get that particular buyer (the one out of the running for Man UTD)
It was reported he was going to buy this player, that player n anyone else- if he takes over a club it looks like he'll be buying the players and not keeping out of interfering with the football side.
It's going to end badly for someone with one of these takeovers- I hope it's not us.
Better the devil you know n all that, at least we'll still have a club in 20 years with enic! maybe no trophies (C'mon prove me wrong ) but a club non the less.

Don't know mate, I'm sure Ange could get a tune out of Mbappe, Camavinga, and Colman.

As an aside I'm much more open to a buyer from the middle east. I wasn't exactly against it before, but I had my doubts on moral grounds.

After seeing the rhetoric of the Western world in the last week, I've realised there are very few good guys with power, so might as well get the richest person we can.
