Can we have in the agreement that we get the Harry Maguire that plays for England, and not the one that plays for Utd?

If we're going to play a back 4, the CBs have to have an all round skillset. Lenglet is very good passing out from the back but isn't quick or agile enough, just like Maguire. We need significant upgrades and I don't see that in Maguire at all.
True enough. But I think he’ll leave Utd he’s home grown and Levy likes a deal.

What price would constitute a good deal to you? He's 30, has two years left on his contract, and has just had the worst season of his career.

Deal would get Harry’s backing? Is he already moulding Utd’s defence to ensure he has a better chance of a trophy next season 😉

None of which is important if we want to get back on track and be competitive again. I'd rather keep Lenglet than sign Maguire, that's how low the bar is on this one. We need absolute quality at CB if we want to turn things around and switching to 2CBs means they have to be outstanding players like Toby and Verts. It's absolutely vital imo or it will just be more of the same (conceding 63 goals or whatever it was). I'm not against 'deals' in other positions, but absolutely not at CB.

Ange normally plays a really high line with inverted full backs, literally throttling the opposition in their own half. For this you obviously need centre halves with pace to counter the lob over the top to a fast attacker breaking the press.
With the best will in the world that ain't Harry 'Easter Island' Maguire

What you write is true, but Big Ange has gone on record saying he likes strong characters that are prepared to take risks passing out of defence and he definitely does that.
He absolutely does. There are many youtube videos highlighting this fact :cautious:
