Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to give Antonio Conte a £1 million-a-year (€1.15m) pay rise to sign a new contract and commit his future to the club.
But Conte is in no rush to sign. He wants Spurs to confirm they share his ambition and will also carefully consider his family, who are still living in Italy.

Tottenham have opened talks with Conte (pictured) over signing a new contract, with his current one due to expire at the end of this season, although the club have an option to extend it by 12 months.

Does a 1m pay increase even register when managers and players are already on such massive money?

Most reports have suggested that Conte's personal pay packet has never been a sticking point and it's all about what the club is willing to fund in the market.
