Arsenal 0 Spurs 1

Spurs went into this game with a record of only two defeats in their previous 12 games, the last one having been at home to Arsenal in early January. Spurs had progressed in both Cup competitions and in this Littlewoods Cup Semi-Final 1st leg game both teams started cautiously. Once Clive Allen had scored his 34th goal of the season towards the end of the first half, Spurs dominated the match and could have put the tie beyond doubt. Spurs class and performance were summed up in a quote from the Independent newspaper: ‘No attacking side can be more difficult to deal with than Spurs at the moment.’

(Thanks, as usual, to Topspurs)

I like this one.

Cliver Allen up front against the goons? I'm sure he'd still be up for it even if the legs & chubby guts aren't.

If we really get at that Arsenal midfield we can dictate to them. Palacios with Modric, Zokora or Jenas should be able to boss Denilson and Song...

Yeah, thats where this game is going to be won and lost and we can shit on this lot if we are up for it!

I can't fathom a reason as to why they wouldn't! So what your saying is a win then!

For me this game has got a Yid win written all over it and I'm not normally that confident - ordinarily I would go for a draw.

There is a difference between playing with controlled agression and carrying out tactics, and running around like headless chickens though. We need the former, and to press them in possession cutting off the supply to the front two.

ah that 87 semi final win - we could have scored more too - I think Clive missed a one on one from memory - Hod went close (maybe woodwork) with a spectacular

and then and then I don't like talking about it - it hurts still - though at least i was there on vengeance day last season :)

I'll let Harry know.

well the bottom 5 all lost - so even a draw would give us a lift over them - but of course a win would be great

I'd take a draw no danger though

I can see us getting a draw. Frankly the players always to better against the top 4 teams so form isn't a real indicator here. If they're up for it, we can win it

I was talking to one of my Gooner mates today, he thinks it's got draw written all over it. I've got to say, I can't disagree.

we may 'play better' but our league record against the 'big 4' over the past 10 years or more is simply dreadful

it's in fact nearly 10 years since we last beat AFC in the lge for example,

it's true this season we are digging out good results against the big 4, (although we've only won one out of four)

anyway let's hope our unbeaten run continues tomorrow, but AFC are favourites, and that's no surprise, and I repeat I'd take a draw tomorrow no danger

Fecking hell. Sitting here thinking about the game, nervous as fuck. I don't know whether it's the sheer importance of the 3 points tomorrow, or the fact that for some deluded reason I actually think we have a chance of winning. I really wont sleep well tonight...

I got this strange feeling that we're gonna win and I'm normally pessamistic and always fear the worst. Tho the strange feeling might be the curry I just had, so I'm not sure what to think.
