It's the first result all season that's actually left me feeling quite depressed. West Ham was a write off for me but this game we should have won given the circumstances. Hate it when a bad result comes so early in the weekend as it leaves me unable to enjoy the rest of the football. Need to find some way to get my mind off it now. Only solution that comes to mind is alcohol :wtf:

Positives? Everyone else around us has dropped points in the last few weeks. We are still second with two very winnable games coming up.

yes we have winnable games coming up but after that we have some real stinkers of games where u can see us dropping points again. have to take it game by game and hope the teams above and below drop points

Sorry but, went ahead and stopped playing. Subs cost us.

I'm not saying Kane's wayward shooting cost us the game, just that there were a few instances when he was in a decent enough position to better impact the game than slicing the ball up into the stands. Yes, the subs didn't work, but hindsight is a wonderful thing. If Son had scored a screamer everyone would be saying Poch's subs were spot on. We did concede possession in midfield, but Dembele was dead on his feet so what could Poch do? It definitely feels more like a defeat, nonetheless.

But if Leicester win it what does that say about us? They have more mental fortitude? They haven't been in a title race either.
No. Everything is a bonus to them at this point. They can play free as birds. no pressure.

Their fans and the rest of the football world are just on board for an amazing, fun ride.

But then do we start looking behind us at Utd and City?

No need to start looking at teams behind us, we need to concentrate on winning our own games (Man United) in that list, if we don't get back to winning form then we will finish where we deserve to - The only team i am still interested in, is Leicester and can we catch them.

We need to regroup a little now and hope Watford win today - I want Jan back in the side as soon as, all teams have a wobble. lets hope we have just had it.

yes but this will most likely be the best opportunity for years to come, the league is there for the taking and if its leicester that win it the rest of the league will look back with great envy

Disagree. Entirely! I have sais it before and I will say it again: this is the way it is going to be for a very long time. The TV funding is the great equaliser. I think this is good and healthy (in many but not all respects). This is emphatically NOT the last chance saloon. Really. Trust me!

Ospina made 1 good save. The rest straight at him. Our shooting always gives keepers a chance which is why so many supposedly have 'worldies'.

These 'shots on target' stats that get bandied about are so easy to manipulate.

Translation: I'm not smart enough to formulate a counter argument, so I'll just arbitrarily claim this guy is mentally weak.

I'm smart enough to know some basic statistics professor Hawkings

Well we've won more points from losing situations than any other team this season.

Assuming you are a Spurs fan I thought you'd know this and this may equate to demonstrating some mental strength.

Made an absolute hash of playing against 10 men didn't we...

Disappointing after the 10 mins of utter madness where we found ourselves ahead against 10 men and the tide completely in our favour. When we needed composure, people wanting to put a foot on the ball, and moving it about and waiting for the moment as we ran them into the ground. Instead it got more open, they had plenty of momentum in the last 20 mins, and they've got something from the game.

Don't think you can blame the subs, we never had a handle on midfield all game in my opinion and both Dembele and especially Dier didn't have good games. Can see why Poch tried to sure things up. At the end of the day we had a pressure situation which called for keeping the ball and we didn't do it well enough and pass that test. It's not the first time this has happened this season when ahead In games (but people who mention it get criticised...) and today it was a factor in us not taking all three points. Need to learn from it.

All correct bar the Dembele part. He played very well.

Thered only 2 positives I can muster from this: 1. We're still 2nd and champions league next season is firmly within our grasp; 2. Maybe, just maybe, our young team will learn something from this that may help us out at the end of next season if not this.

Watford won't beat Leicester IMO, they will be 5 above us by the end of today and if United win they will be 5 behind us, not a good situation to be in, we have done it to ourselves.
Yeah I wish Leicester would just fuck right off, they are really fucking up everything.

and I thought holding on to a 2-1 win today could have given us some grace when meeting liverfool, chelscum and manure... now we need to win 2 from these 3 to really have any chances of winning the title...

Hopefully as we get nearer to the end the pressure will start to build and derail them.

Football is a game of fine lines....had that mason shot trickled its way into the net, everyone would've lauded the sub and pochs tactical genius!

He was poor tracking their runners and thank fck Wimmer got across to block Ramsey at the end otherwise he deserved the electric chair.

Gotta love Harry. Always manages to come up with something for the NLD. This time despite a broken nose and being knackered.

Gutted and an opportunity missed but, I'd have probably taken a point at half time and, gun to the head, probably before the game.

Taking Lamela off was the right sub, I'd have put Chadli on tho, just to maintain some shape, we basically had 5 CM's on with mason coming on and it showed for their goal where we were all over the place.

We seemed to sit back at 2-1 and try to take the sting out of it, we should have gone for the jugular, they were on the ropes.

Onto the next one! Still in a good position. COYS!
