Thought we'd lose against Burnley. We did. Thought we'd lose against Chelsea. We did.

Think we'll win against Arsenal.

I thought the same about the two former matches mentioned & to a degree, I honestly felt we could beat Arsenal, though that was before the Chelsea game. If we had battled against Chelsea and given them a game we could have beaten them. They looked tired & we couldn't break them down. Now I look at the game today and think they have just given Bournemouth a hiding and look good and we look mentally drained & bereft of ideas and on the back of two losses.

For what it's worth, a lot of this has to do with the players. Some are making terrible mistakes that are costing us and my belief is that without having the safety net of Toby & Jan playing together for any extended time this season is costing us. If every player that pulls on that shirt today goes out there and plays with commitment, then there is every chance we can nick this - I just don't have the faith that they will. I fear we will start at our normal turgid pace and get punished for it.

I'm out all day today. What a game to miss!:cry::cry:

Do BT do a replay of the whole game on catchup?

I'm sure they used to but I've looked on their app for previous Prem games and can't find any.

If you lose hope, somehow you lose the vitality that keeps moving, you lose that courage to be, that quality that helps you go on in spite of it all. And so today I still have a dream.

Urgh, feeling the effects of an impromptu Friday evening's beers and whiskey... I've got to somehow pull myself together in the next 2 hours to head out and do it again.

I don't want to try and call this one. All I hope is Spurs give me a good hangover cure by 2:15

There was some discussion in the picture thread last month as to the accuracy of Google's algorithms when it comes to placing adverts on SC. I was undecided on the merits of either argument, but, fair play to Google, we've lost two games on the bounce, it's four hours before the North London Derby where they could get to within one point of us and this is the advert they chose for me...

Happy this is the first game of the weekend. Nerves can't take it anymore. Always hate the days prior, constantly feel nauseous.

It's a derby at home, we generally have a good record now in the home NLDs. More confident today than I would be at the Emirates, Wembley or not.

Just hope we come out firing like v Chelsea. Could do without the slow first half.

If it's any help I'm going ' out, out today. We've won plenty of our matches this season when I've gone out and failed to do my 'Spurs community predictor competition'.

Let the feckers bring it. COYS!

Same with me, but I said that last week too and it ruined my weekend! I guess this week I'm more prepared for failure, but the fact that it's Arsenal I don't think it will help much.

Just hope we start fast and set a good tempo for ourselves. We should definitely be able to create enough chances against this Arsenal side.

If we hit the ground running, something which seems to have abandoned us of late, I think we can do them and do them good. If we fall back into the ponderous, side-to-side and then back to Hugo approach, which seems to be the usual way in the first half of games, then we may end up being very badly punished.

The key is that the Arse in its current form is very brittle (there's a phrase!). They lack the resilience of a classic Wengerite Arse side (there's another phrase). Put them under pressure, be incisive and I can see them folding.

All that said, I'm absolutely bricking it.

Of course selection and formation is key, but so is application. Those selected need to remember what this game is all about and leave nothing on the pitch.

Too late for the blame game once the final whistle has blown. Ninety minutes to show these feckwits who's the daddy.

We've got enough to twat this lot, just got to believe and deliver.

Pisses me right off when we don't turn up. Nothing to do with how good opponents have been at times, more about our failure in the mentality stakes.

I'll be working as usual, so if those in the WhatsApp group could keep updates going, that would be greatly appreciated.
