I’m not sure what to make of this match today. I think we were bleak in defense. Sanchez woeful on 1-0 but Kane has to take some responsebility when he decides to take an extra step rather than shoot.

Wanyama’s return was bleak. Deserved sub

Moving Rose into the middle rather making a sub puzzles me. Lost some crucial balls at the end. Looked jaded

Sanchez should’ve let Aubameyang run towards the line. Nothing would’ve come out from that.
Lucky penalty and fantastic save from Lloris. Jan also deserves a lot of credit on that rebound

I think we’re lucky that we got the penality. Obviously offside. Taylor tried to run a strict game today but there was some dubious decisions. This one was one of many

Torreira is lucky that he didn’t break Rose’s leg. Horrible tackle

But on a positive note; we did not loose and we’re 4 pts ahead of Arsenal

Small matter of beating southampton next, the team that relentlessly peppered our goal 2nd half at home

Tactically it was a man against a boy today.

Poch's tactical immaturity is a real issue (I don't go on about it for kicks).

But it may also extend to his team.

He has to have an honest word with himself.

I know the squad isn't what he'd like it to be, but with what's on offer he's not making the right decisions to bring maximum effect.

This was a good result, though, overall.

We simple could not lose this.

Imagine the level of scumbag gloating, for starters.

Absolutely, it's actually very worrying. I mean I don't know what else to say, there seems to be so many glaringly obvious changes that need to be made. And sometimes you just wonder how Pochettino watches such poor performances for so long without doing anything. We finally ditch the 3 at the back admittedly too late, but when we do we put Rose at CM. So strange.

It was a good result in the end and we're quite lucky. But again, just like against Chelsea, the opposition didn't actually play that great. If we were ourselves, and had Son, Eriksen and Kane playing as they should, we should have won both games.

Totally agreed, it's very hard to define our style of play at the moment and that is the most worrying. We're really lacking balance. I especially dislike this move of bringing Llorente on to partner Kane then we just start hoofing it anywhere? If we were gonna bring him on we should have at least brought Skipp on for switch of plays and got the ball into wide areas.

Llorente on and offering a different threat isn't a problem, he won two or three good flick on's after all. But when you're hammering it forward wildly and he's competing for the ball 40-50 yards from goal rather than in and around the penalty area where something can happen with these second balls, then it's not going to achieve anything.

That bit of play after the equaliser I think shows up what we lack compared to some other teams. That should have been the point where with the momentum your mentality kicks in, even in the biggest games against the better opposition, you can play smart and focus, keep forcing the pressure and hammer on the door, and hopefully nick the winner. Instead we got wild, lost any momentum, and arguably worse than we had been in a struggle of a performance. At the critical moment we couldn't harness and channel what was needed.

The players you mention suffered unexpected declines at a time the club is under severe financial pressure. We could/should have tried to replace at least one but, for the money we likely have available, probably wouldn't have got much better than Winks, Sissoko and Dier. The situation has obviously been exacerbated by all 3 of them being out for spells. We certainly aren't in a position to be buying someone as good as peak Dembélé.

All those baffled by Rose in CM - we have seen it several times before. I'm pretty sure he came on there on his return from injury in the Bernabeu for example. I'm not saying it's a good idea, just that it's not unprecedented.

Torreira getting a 3 game is excellent news. Almost as good as not losing that game.
Bollocks. We've could have got Tielemans on loan for example - that would have been better than Rose in CM. Torreira didn't cost that much. Doucoure cost 10m etc. We spent 25m on Moura last year so we could have bought some kind of CM that's better that what we currently have.

Poor display. No urgency, no confidence on the ball, far too much possession given away from mistakes. Frustrating because we still dominate in large spells, but we continue to shoot ourselves in the foot.

We've hopefully steadied ourselves a bit with that draw, another defeat and we'd be on the slippery slope. But collectively we need, as a squad, to get our heads straight, focus and start believing in ourselves again.

It was my dad's funeral yesterday. I'd like to think there was a little intervention with that penalty save.

RIP Dad. COYS.

Pochettino's behaviour of late worries me too. I suspect there will be an exodus end of the season. Something does not seem right.

The free kick at 93rd min we should have scored. What a waste we couldn't convert that. The feeling was so strong that that could be our winning goal.

Can't believe how many here are pissed off.
We haven't been and currently aren't playing anywhere near our best, and still those filthy slags couldn't beat us.
Woolwich fans are seething, I'm buzzing.

Jans gotta play LB vs Dortmund again.

Eriksen needs to step it up. Not sure what is going on his head, if it’s transfer/contract related it’s unforgivable. Save that shit to the end of the season.

When we have all of our missing players back, he should be dropped to the bench for at least one game.
