If you look at Arsenalmania and RAWK, both sets of fans seem to believe that they have similar quality squads as us, and I maybe being biased here but I find that baffling. Especially in the case of Liverpool who we wiped the floor with and their fans are now writing off as lucky as the had 2 players sent off.

I was thinking this too Shogun.

They thought thet Le Coq as they called him did well to outplay Parker and Modric and think he is a superstar (no mention that he had two other players helping him), but we were a poor team and they should have won.

Funny thing is I can't remember Friedel having to do an awful lot either yesterday or against Liverpool.

As for Liverpool, its funny how Everton losing a player shouldn't affect the result Liverpool had players sent off in previous derbys and still won, yet the only reason we won was because of the red cards.

Yet the call us deluded.

The majority of Liverpool fans on RAWK don't have a fucking notion, just like most Liverpool fans. Fans of a certain age (30's), who started supporting then when they were winning all round them and then became the internet generation. 5 times, all that shite. The failure to admit they were basically a two man team for a long period...Liverpool turn my stomach.

Oh and again, on thge subject of Liverpoo, I fucking hate Suarez. Another dive at the weekend to get Rodwell sent off. Who honestly would ever want a player like that in lillywhite?

We missed out on Suarez, Harry got it wrong etc. Bullet dodged IMO, I wouldn't want such ugly baggage despite his talent. Hateful bastard of a footballer.

I think they do have similar squads to us but our squad I believe is a bit better. We certainly didn't embarrass Arsenal yesterday as predicted by some in fact it was pretty even and we just edged it. As for Liverpool I wouldn't expect to beat them 4-0 again any time soon.

I expect both sides to challenge us for that fourth place spot

I'm a bit confused with the complaints about BAE/Sagna incident from the scum. Saying he challenged unfairly and suggestions that he intentionally pushed him off the pitch. From what I saw (I havent seen it again since the game) BAE jumped for the ball won the header and Saggy came charging in at a pace failed to make contact with the ball and ending up falling akwardly and eventually smacking the boards at the side.

I thought we played ok, clearly we didn't control the CM with only 2 vs seemingly half the scums team. But they didn't really threaten whereas their GK had to make 3 or 4 sharp saves. Overall we deserved it.

That's about spot on  apart from that spell when some players thought we still had Crouch in the team so kept hoofing it long and wondering why it kept coming back.

Vdv was horrible.. Out of his favoured position, but he displayed horrible traits today (aside from the very well taken goal). He was sloth-like, more than usual, moany and often gave up. He also failed to press players enough.. Defoe often had to come back and do his defensive duties (yes, he does have some!).

Adebayor was just a pedestrian for most parts of the game and when he did get involved, he was wasteful and dispassionate in his attitude.

Bale had a couple of good runs, but there was absolutely no combinational play between him and Benny. Bale was not making enough runs, nor getting into many good positions.

And the team as a whole allowed Arsenal to dominate and play in our half. We kept refraining from pressing (which is unlike us this season). I kept shouting, "close the ****" and "press the ****!", but no one could hear me except my beeyatch.

Lucky 3 points, but still as sweet as ever!

Ive seen it about 4or5 times. Even allowing for my bias i can say that Benny was totally and completely innocent of any wrong doing. Its just those sore losing Gooner bastards stirring shit as usual.

From Zonal Marking:

We should probably expect it from a north London derby, but yesterday's game at White Hart Lane featured an extraordinarily high number of challenges, which probably played into Tottenham's hands.
Arsenal have faced many new problems this season, but a lack of bite in the tackle has been an issue for many years, and it showed yesterday. Tottenham were by far the superior side when contesting duels in the game – they were successful on 78% of occasions, while Arsenal's figure was down at just 43%.
Younes Kaboul was the most impressive player in this respect – he won all of the 10 challenges he attempted.

wow, Really?

so that wasn't a challange (how ever half hearted) that he attempted on RVP on the touchline where he skipped around Kaboul and created a gilt edged chance for ol spam head...

Technically Kaboul never attempted a tackle in that situation, RVP took him by surprise.

It's a shame Durham didn't take him to task on the better side quote. Would have loved to have seen him recall all of the saves Friedal had to make.........

Wilshire is a horrific little shit.

By the way is there a video download of the game doing the rounds? Can't find the regular thread there usually is after a game...
