True. But ‘tougher’ matches, is also tantamount to opportunity. Playing against teams that will attack us, leaves the very vulnerable, if and when we will break their press. A lot of teams we’ve played so far have settled into a low block. We can expect similar from Palace. Chelsea though will bring it. And if we can manage that, they will be very shaky defensively. I can us opening them up easily a few times in that match.to be fair, we have really beaten the bottom of the table.
Tougher matches ahead - and so there will always be a few doubts amongst the pundits.
If we are still top of the table at Christmas - pundits will start talking more positively.
We have no one to fear. No one. Just keep playing our way, come what may.
Far more important than the Chelsea game is Palace. We desperately need those three points, with some harder games coming up. It gives us a nice cushion. So, I hope Ange has the lads (albeit on 3 days rest) ready to go hard at them from the start. As an early lead will see them capitulate.
