Didn't see what the issue was with Holtby. He's still finding his feet in the team, and made a couple of ambitious and inventive passes that didn't quite come off. I hope people aren't going to make him the new scapegoat. We've got a massive finish to the season coming up and Defoe, Adebayor, Dempsey, Holtby, and Siggy all need our full support....at least when at the games (I always think forums are a reasonable place for fans to let off some steam).

Its probably the same ones who were wanking over him when he signed. Its the world we live in - instant gratification and complete impatience with everything :)

£15m for Mousa or £15m for Allen. I don't how we keep getting away with this shit. I really don't.

Agreed, Dawson and Vertonghen are now the undisputed starting pair until Kaboul builds a solid base of match fitness. but having a player like Gallas fit and ready to make his cameo/the odd appearance is vastly underrated.
It might have only been Inter Milan but the BBC sport football site quoted

CLOSE! - Tottenham 3-0 Inter Milan
They are all at it now. William Gallas outpaces three Inter men as he charges forward, he finds Gareth Bale who lays it off into the path of substitute Lewis Holtby. Holtby has Jermain Defoe to his left but shoots, and it is deflected into the hands of Inter keeper Samir Handanovic.

Absolutely lovely. Was there and we did what was needed. Thought the linesman in the first half was awful. Best atmosphere this season. All round good performance. Just need to park the bus in the next round to get through. Coys

It's a fact that some people just have to bitch about something.

Exactly. No one played badly, it's total rubbish to say otherwise. That's the best I've seen us play in a long time. Really don't know how anyone can not have loved that

I'm getting super excited about Siggy. Is clearly a classy player on the ball and had a poor start to the year but players coming into form at the end of the season is just what we need. That is the difference to last year, everyone out on their feet already having had their hot spell. Now we have Parker, Siggy finding their feet, Gallas looking fresh, Defoe back from injury and looking sharp. Kaboul will return at some point. It is looking positive.

Our first XI might not be better than last year but damn we have a far better squad.

I'd rather the Russian teams all get knocked out and Chelsea.

That'd be a good round.

Anzhi couldn't beat the Barcodes, Rubin could only draw with Levante, Zenit lost to Basel—oh, and Chelsea lost to Steua, who really aren't that good.

Lazio look the strongest side remaining, other than the Chavs, and I think if we'd played against them like we played tonight the results in the group stage would have been rather different. Until tonight I've been less than whelmed with our Europa League performances, but I really don't think we need to fear anyone.

Parker has been really good in the last 2 games. So was Siggy obviously, I'm glad AVB give him another chance, we could see how desperate he was to prove his value when he played 5min per game. You just had to give him 30 mins in a game ...
Let's hope it's not very bad for Lennon and that everybody will be well rested for sunday.

Oh and, btw, we are now favourites to win the Europa League according to the bookies.

AVB isn't the brilliant "man manager" everyone is saying. They are only saying he's a genius cause of the winning streak right now.

Fact is: Siggy, Holtby, Dempsey, Defoe, Adebayor have struggled all season with getting integrated, with teamplay, they have all tried too hard at times. Lucky everything is clicking now cause it's certainly not down to the manager.

Haha, I do love this. Makes me laugh. Why does everyone take this guy/gal seriously?

Parking the bus won't be needed. We owe them a beating at the san siro and we can definitely do that even without Bale.

I don't fear them mate. Would rather no long trips to Russia and their horrid weather and always great to see Chavs get knocked out of everything.

Another thrashing on the weekend in the FA Cup followed by a win at Anfield would be brilliant.
