He just doesn't inspire confidence and has a lot to live up to with Hugo as the standard. Think that has a lot to do with it.

I'm not disagreeing with you but I'm not looking at the big picture I mean just on this very match alone. I just don't see how people can point the finger at him after today's game for any reason.

But why? If you don't get game time with your second goalie then it doesn't matter how good you are you will look out of sorts with the defence.

I didn't think he made any blunders. Two players couldn't tackle the Japanese guy and got him within 10yds of goal, and Vertonghen lost his man completely on the second

I think poch will see that we're not as solid at the back, overall, with him in. There's a chemistry element which is important.

I'm not saying the goals were his fault. He could have been less of a pussy for the second one, though.

I am saying:

  1. He doesn't command his box.
  2. Defence is shaky with him, as they obviously don't trust him.
  3. Shit shot stopper, occasional worldie doesn't make up for getting beaten by nearly every shot he's faced with.
  4. Can't catch.
  5. Flaps.
  6. Never comes off his line.
  7. Always parries back into the danger zone.
He is not one of the best number 2s in the league. He "agreed to join us" because he'd already become second choice at Swansea to Tremmel, and they were signing Fabianski to make him third choice. He is not good enough for the premier league, he has decent distribution and that is it. He couldn't be further away from Lloris if he tried.

I'd rather we had a young 'keeper as back up. Vorm has no potential to improve and at his current level offers nothing when he does play.

I also don't need a scapegoat, I just can't emphasise enough how little I rate Vorm. I actually hate not rating our players but I just don't rate him. I didn't think he was the worst player today, but I do think he's the least talented member of our squad, by a considerable margin.
On the plus side, he could be a male model.

From the Leicester forum...

"Comfortably better than them with our reserves, battered by the ref. kane can get binned."

One season where they are not relegation fodder and they think they are something special, also I don't know how tinted those glasses have to be to say they were the better team, they parked the bus the majority of the game and were wasting time from the moment they scored the second.

That doesn't mean they are "Comfortably better" that means they were desperately fighting to win a game against superior opponents.

Wait until Wednesday and we put our full strength side out, I hope we smash them I really do because they are becoming a huge fucking annoyance on par with the scouse lot.

BBC coverage was fucking atrocious quite frankly as well, might as well have hung a Leicester flag over the pundits the way they were wanking over them.

I seem to think we're scoring more headed goals lately from Toby and Dier etc. There was a period where Spurs hadn't scored from a corner for so long but aside from today our corners are usually pretty decent and its fairly rare we concede from them, their CB just wanted it more than our players, i don't think there were any real tactical flaws in the defending today really.

Again, I think it's more just wanting the security of hugo in goal. It's visceral.

I'm sure there is but I can't see how Vorm's display today warrants any displeasure towards him. Yes he didn't have much to do but that makes such comments against him even more strange to me.

Don't be surprised it's the football fans way, things don't go well blame the usual scapegoats even if they have had a decent game

Haha, SC match thread summed up perfectly...

Before match...
"I can't believe Poch has picked that skinny runt Carroll again. What is he thinking?!"

After match...
"I can't believe Poch took Carroll off, he was immense. What was he thinking?!"

Tottenham Hotspur ‏@SpursOfficial 3 min

.@ChrisEriksen8: "We tried to create but they were resolute. They created two chances and scored two goals."

We didn't try and create that much because we still haven't sussed how to penetrate the box with combinations and incisive, angled runs.

Poch has to really work on that; it's still one of our weak spots and we will need it as one of our main weapons because teams will camp out in and round their box on a regular when they play us.

Totally agree, but my point being if they not getting game time then there is little chance of getting chemistry. Playing in training is totally different to actual game time. I just don't see why the two goals are his fault

poor on set pieces again today, otherwise we utterly dominated until we went a goal down and Leicester could concentrate on defending. Dont know why people are blaming Vorm when Toby could have done better on both goals. the pen was a bit harsh but I see why the ref gave it from his angle - from behind it looked like the defender punched to ball away.

I think our reserves will have a better chance at beating their reserves in the replay.

Today, they were defensively compact and made it difficult for us to break them down.

At home, I think they will be more open and it will allow us more chances to score.
