I know views can change, but some of us could do with reminding ourselves of Pochs own view on transfers. This is not a defense of Levy either, but it seems Poch is very select as shown from last summer. Sess and GLC are the obvious targets... it’s not to say Levy doesn’t understand Pochs mindset or should be pushing to get the targets harder than he is, but both are transfers are in a state of poker and will go down to the wire at this rate.

He is probably just pissed off because we/he are not getting Dybala.
Bloody childish performance in the press conference from Pochettino.
I’ve no time for this type pique from managers.

Think he was pissed off partly because he wanted to answer some questions in Spanish first, the guy on his right kept saying English and also because he's asked same questions over and over again!
I am not overly worried, we will get another couple in and all will be rosy. I think Toby and Eriksen will sign new deals after the window has shut too.

With Zidane looking about as effective as Sudocrem on a broken leg, I'd say this doesn't look good right now.

Agreed all a bit to Jose for me.

To be fair to Pochettino the questions he's asked at these press conferences are mind numbingly tedious.
I think he's extremely tolerant of the reporters in front of him that ask the same questions over and over.
What is the point about asking him questions on transfers - he's not going to say ffs.

About time the post match managers press conference
was scrapped.
It's repetitive and tedious
and largely irrelevant.
It's purely a media obligation
that Managers/Coaches whatever
could do without.
Answers are quickly turned into click bait
and Poch seems increasingly unhappy
with this ritual.

So he goes from Daily Mail clickbait to literally creating negative front page news on the BBC for the club? He had the formula nailed before. Smile. “I don’t talk about rumour.” Done.

As frustrated as I am with the lack of transfers, our constant leaking of this idea that Poch only has one target in each position like it’s some grand act of genius is, ironically, completely screwing Levy in negotiations. Of course selling clubs are gonna screw us around and keep moving the goalposts if they know we’ve nowhere else to go.

Between them they seem to have dug themselves a bit of a hole here and it’s only going to get tougher each season now in my opinion. The more this plays out as a battle of wills through the media, the more leverage every other club have against us/Levy in negotiations. Just poor all round.

Pochettino is comprehensively fucked off with the media and their incessant questions about transfers, when he wants to talk about the football. It's been so for 2-3 years now and he's been getting progressively more harsh, forceful and scathing.

He's just utterly pissed off being grilled every time about stuff that isn't his responsibility and diverts attention from his work with the squad, as evidenced by a 1-0 win over Real Madrid that probably should have been 3-0.

There are too many bedwetters here. Pochettino has been gradually ratcheting up his pissed-off-ness with media questions for some time now. He's not the cuddly interviewee he was 5 years ago. He's not reached the point where he'll tell interviewers to STFU or walk off set, but he's getting close.
This in spades.

Ah, lovely. Thanks, chaps. Thought that was the case, but couldn't seem to see anything about it.

I think both pre and post match manager conferences are interesting and pretty much part of the game now. I'm really looking forward to the next one!
The interviews I can't stand are the player ones.

I wish some of them would occasionally veer off-piste and allow at least a tiny amount of personality to shine through.

Joe Hart would lay into himself and his teammates when he wasn't happy, so his interviews were generally quite candid in comparison to the vanilla shite you hear 99% of the time.

Completely understand that they're all media trained but it doesn't half make for some repetitive, boring responses.
Long live Gazza.
