:) Delboy - no I wasn't at the game - but would have enjoyed it i'm sure had I gone

certainly enjoyed watching it at home now I've finally caught up with the game

I don't know that song, but sounds a good one :)

anyway hope you enjoyed the game :)

overall I thought we played satisfactorily - like the upton park game it was surprisingly tame given some of the old school derbies I remember- but no complaints about that - west ham came to play their football, and all credit to their footballing heritage BTW- and we were allowed to play ours- for sure LBM was putting himself about to remind us it was a derby but when you compare his antics to the anti-football of a team like blackburn there is in fact no comparison

rather watch west ham than any allardyce team that's for sure

while the game was tame though in relative terms, the result was immense

it means we can now enjoy the rest of the season with no relegation fears and by guaranteeing safety that means we can now rubber stamp our 11th straight decade of superiority over the Hammers

(this decade - 1 trophy to nil and we have already 6 better lge finishes over them this decade- it's just a case of whether we win 6-4 or 7-3)

how sweet that particular little piece of history came through a victory over them

well done spurs

Pav's goal reminded me a bit of Mido's against the Spam 2 years ago

Yeah, but Mido scored from the other side of the goal but both at the Paxton end.

Mido scored a pretty decent goal vs ar5ena1 yesterday!

Mido's goal was at the Park Lane, he took his shirt off and celebrated in front of the Spammer fans.

Random fact:

Tottenham kept their fourth consecutive PL clean sheet at home to set a new PL club record. They last kept four successive top flight clean sheets at White Hart Lane 22 years ago during a seven-match run from Jan to Apr 1987.

Bit embarrassing it took us so long, but well done anyways :)

Exactly my thoughts when i saw the goal. Pavs rolled the defender a couple of times in one motion and then scored, he seems more to like the ball given to him in and around the area with his back to goal.

Btw, just to laugh at Wet Spam some more when they claim to be our rivals:

http://www.forbes.com/lists/2009/34/soccer-values-09_Soccer-Team-Valuations_Rank.html

We're still 11th this year, bit annoying to see Man City in the top 20 now when it's only because of their new money (1-yr change of 62% LOL). Newcastle have gone down rather unsurprisingly, they'll drop out of the top 20 if they get relegated. Villa and Everton still can't make top 20 though Villa's gone up by a lot.

you appear to be quite ITK with this sort of statto situation - what's the Debt/Value(%) column indicate? Is it that, in our case for example, 29% of the club is secured against a debt of some sort? How much of our overall value is swallowed up by debt owed? If that's the case, the Woolwich board must be juggling numbers more furiously than HBOS at the moment...

I'm no accountant, though I know that GilzeanKing on VitalSpurs goes to board meetings and knows everything about our finances and from what I remember they are generally very solid so I'm sure you could ask him. From what I know, as of December 2008 based on the half-yearly report Levy just published, we had a total debt of £40.1m, with total assets of £291.7m after we acquired more property around the stadium for a total carrying value of £88m (property, plant and equipment). I'm not sure where the 29% D/V ratio came from, possibly the sum of the 40m debt with the 88m property divided by the value Forbes came up with (445m); that shouldn't be right though, the 88m shouldn't count and in any case their D/V values aren't very useful - Newcastle looks like it's in a lot of debt but in reality they're mostly financially secure since Ashley has written off their debts, it's just that they're very inefficient (terrible wage-to-turnover ratio) and can't spend too much since he's still paying off their interest.

More up-to-date stats on our finances if you're interested (some jealous Hammers posting in the message board ): http://www.iii.co.uk/investment/detail?code=cotn:TTNM.L&it=le

Arsenal unfortunately are in no trouble even if they miss out on the CL, they only look like they are in debt because of their stadium and the poor market for their property but should have no problems paying off the low fixed interest for 25 years given the major revenue boosts the Emirates has given them.

Was a lot funnier at the end when they all went up for a handball that clearly wasn't.

The Park Lane spent the next 5 minutes yelling "HANDBALL".

Haven't laughed so much in ages.

Walking down the stairs from the Park Lane Upper yelling "HANDBALL" was awesome and down the road back to Latina.

HANDBALL!
