that was interesting, the breakaway asking/pleading with Nibs to leave them alone and he's obliged

Commentator on Eurosport (Sean Kelly) called that. He said the Breakway wil not be happy with Nibali as it would just result in Sky chasing them down. if he stays with them none of them will continue racing and the break will fail.

They've just been talking about the lantern rogue (who's name I forgot) from yesterday's stage. He came though the finishing line 4 seconds after the cut-off time. But it turned out that amateur riders were doing the climb after the riders went through and he got held up because they caught him. :D

Yep. Was looking like it was all going to kick off for a bit but settled back down now. Just have to wait for Nibali to try and break again later on.

Feeding station passed, now at the foot of the biggest climb of the day. They just suggested/hinted that Wiggo is not looking comfortable, but it may be a bluff. This really is the last stage to make a dent in his lead so expecting Nibali to go for it.

Yep. Shit or bust time for Nibali. If Wiggings has an adavantage going into the time trials, might as well call the whole thing early.

That's a big shout before

a) he's won it
b) the Olympics
c) the other 5 months of the sporting year
d) my attempt to become world ski-jumping champion next week

d) is optimistic... ;)

But he has to be up for it for the record-breaking yellow jersey triumphs.

Indeed he does Cosmic.

This race is just thrilling, really inspiring me to get back out on the bike :)

Although I have to be honest here, Frome looks like the stronger rider, and I swear could have gone on to overtake Wiggins several stages ago.

Wiggins owes this bloke in particular a fucking hell of a lot if he wins!!!

Agree about Froome. He's got to have a chance of winning it in the next few yrs.

I'm not sure about Froome, Yes he does look strong, but stronger than BW?? We'll never know whilst they are in the same team.

when the motorbike follows a rider downhill, it would be good to see a speedometer on screen

Dunno. No arguments against Wiggo winning it from me if he does though. He's brutal and responded to every thing he's needed to. Obviously a strong team helps but doesn't it always? Not sure why some quarters in the media are questioning him tbh. Obviously space needs filling but this is Bradley Wiggins. Hardly a surprise he's pushing for a TdF win is it? I'd actually be surprised if he wasn't a serious contender.

Froome has impressed though. Looks to have a similar engine. Certainly got a chance if he maintains it in the next few yrs.
