Manc site says about there station which is not on the Northern rail map.

Nightmare journey for me when i went to the fa semi in 2001. Much prefer to drive. I went from Euston to Manchester then caught the metro link.

train to piccadily from euston then tram to old trafford. Take the tram that goes to Altrincham, it takes about 10-15 mins to get to old trafford station and then a 5 minute walk to the stadium.

Train is the best way to travel between London and Manchester. I do the journey about twice a week and have never had any real problems.

I've found it easier getting the tram to and from Pomona on the metrolink, similar distance from OT to OT station but less people and less hassle.

Train to picadilly then a cab to the cricket ground then walk the rest. Did it 2 seasons ago and will be doing this again this weekend.
