the attitude issue stated by ITK in summer is more concerning than his ability/injuries

I agree. Although the fact he has gone abroad and is proving himself over there is a positive sign. Again, 21 is still very young. A lot of guys are really immature well into their 20s (and beyond!) But yeah I agree it’s a concern, and for example it seems to have hampered Spence’s prospects here.

Given that he can allegedly play across the front 3, I'm still optimistic. Ange will know best whether he's one of his guys, but I'd love for him to part of the squad next season.

On the attitude issue I think he sorted himself when he turned his season round at M K Dons. Since then the managers he’s played under have spoken positively about his contribution.

Even if he doesn’t make it at spurs at least he’s upped his value and shown he can play at a good level
Exactly. We got decent money for a few players like that. KWP and Pritchard come to mind.

Develop our younger players to make it with us, but if not the sell on value helps invest and fully counts to profit for ffp.

I like Parrott, but my gut is he has not shown enough for where we want to be, but he is at a level to get a good move. Could be wrong though.

Non athletic, technical players should be given until they are around 23 imo. We've got to be prepared to use the loan system to give youngsters that aren't fast or particularly strong, every chance to get to grips with playing at senior level. At the moment we are all excited by the likes of Donely, Devine and Moore. But Parrott can really play too. It looks like Gil will move on, but even at 23, it wouldn't surprise me to see him becoming a top player in a couple of years. But what they all need, is regular first team, senior football and for an extended period of time (several seasons.) These kids aren't Kyle Walker, who just needs a 6 month loan in the Championship and then a stint at Villa before he's ready to outsprint and and outmuscle every winger in Europe. The chances are Parrott wont make it a the very top, as he might never adapt physically. Not everyone can be Teddy Sheringham. But Parrott is technically top class imo and I don't think his ability is sufficiently appreciated by lots of our fans.

Seems to be having a good season. Maybe he’s not done here just yet, and as an Irishman myself I certainly hope not.

Could he be a squad option for us? A Skipp type role

At 17 I thought he was a cert for our first team squad by 20 but he just hasn’t kicked on. Saw a few of his games on loan . Just seemed half a yard short. He was at Preston with a lad called Cannon who was on loan from Everton. Cannon was way ahead of him, roughly the same age. I think he is 21 next month, time to make a decision.

Understand clubs in Serie A and the Championship are closely monitoring Troy Parrott's situation at Spurs.

The 21-year-old has enjoyed an excellent season so far on loan at Excelsior Rotterdam with a goal involvement every 84 minutes in the Eredivisie.

Understand Parrott remains desperate to prove himself at Tottenham, who are keeping a close eye on his development. The club's head of football strategy Andy Scoulding has travelled to the Netherlands to watch Parrott in action five times this season and was in the stands on Friday night to witness the Irishman's latest exciting display as he grabbed a goal and assist against Heerenveen.

Parrott is expected to remain in Rotterdam for the remainder of the season and then a decision will be made this summer over what comes next. He has a contract with Spurs until 2025 and there is believed to be an option within it for the club to extend that by another year.

The young striker wants to catch Ange Postecoglou's attention after a groin injury robbed him of the chance last summer. If he still cannot then the fact that he has a European passport as an Irishman will make him a wanted man on the continent, hence the interest from Italy and he has shown his adaptability to a new culture and league this season.

I'm glad he's doing well, and I hope he makes it with us. But as we've seen with many forwards coming the other way to the PL, it's a lot easier to score in the Dutch league.

Lot of Spurs fans eager for us to sign Santi Gimenez at 60m+, if Parrott goes to one of the big guns then I reckon he'll perform just as good.
They are same age and have performed similar for their national teams, both maybe lacking the top international explosiveness.
Either rides the bench for Richarlison obviously, hope people are aware of that.

It would be great if Troy could come back in the summer and make an impression pre season.
Always liked him and thought he was destined for our first team. Loans didn’t go too well .
Saw some of his Preston games and he just seemed a yard short.
There was a lad on loan from Everton at Preston at the same time. Tom Cannon. Looked well ahead of Troy and scored quite a few goals. Has since signed for Leicester.
The Eredivisie is hard to weigh up with regard to quality of players. There have been plenty of failures.
Of the Ajax team we beat in the CL, Zyech, Van de Beek, De Light, all flopped after big moves. Frankie de Jong is the only success really.

He shows great technique in this video, i think he would get double figures easily playing in our team.
I don't know if he's quick enough, and that's as much about speed of thought as it is actual pace. He still hasn't played a a level that's higher than the Championship except in a couple of games against the biggest Dutch sides.
