Troy Parrott endured a difficult campaign last season. Much was expected of the Dubliner when he joined Millwall on loan. However, a mixture of injuries and poor form meant he made little impact in the Championship. Parrott would take the step down to League One with Ipswich Town in January, once again finding it tough going early on.

Despite this, there were some flashes towards the end of the season. His club form would pick up, while the 19-year old was also score a brace for Ireland in their victory over Andorra in June.

He really did look good for that Andorra friendly but it was a gimme.

Parrott also needs to keep himself away from a few shady characters in Ireland who he seems to be with quite often.

Interesting, could you elaborate?

Tis all conjecture but not wise. The people are top baddies in Dublin.

They are involved with boxing at high level.

I’m sure Milton Keynes will be dull enough to force him to train 3 times a day and perhaps read some books.

MK Dons' manager left to Swansea yesterday. Hopefully doesn't negatively impact Parrott's stay this season.
