Modric / Lennon / Bentley on the left will not work, Jenas / Modric in the middle will also not work, neither will Hudd / Zokora by the looks of it.
Its not hard to play a team with some balance..
- Right footed player on the right
- Left footed player on the left
- A creator and a destroyer in the middle or 2 of one and 1 of another

Modric and Jenas will work in the middle. Look at the games last season against Man Utd at Old Trafford and Derby at WHL. In these games, Jol played JJ as DM and the Hudd in front of him and it worked really well. All we have to do is replace the Hudd with Modric. The reason JJ and Modric hasn't worked so far, is becasue for some unexplainable reason, Modric (one of the best creative CMs in Europes) had been playing the deeper of the two. JJ should be playing behind him, plugging the gaps as he did for the Hudd. I don't want to keep seeing Modric dropping deep to pick the ball up off the back 4.

a friend who wasn't watching the game last night, texted me to ask who were the second half scorers. My return text was simply 'young and bent' - not a text that you want to be sending too often. Could've been worse last season - 'bent and keane'!
