Who's in the VAR booth?
Trying to stop it going to the offside player?didn't the defender touch it?
Lets see what UEFA say but I'm not surprised.Stuart Attwell will work as the video assistant referee (VAR) for the match. Chris Kavanagh and Lee Betts were appointed as assistant VAR officials, along with Dutchman Pol van Boekel.[1]
I think he did but how the refs can claim he got enough on it to start a new phase of play I don't understand.didn't the defender touch it?

Too bad the club doesnt seem bothered to keep him up to this point. Absurd.Lloris, serial winner.
Busquets: "the referee told us that Eric Garcia wanted to play the ball and that kills the offside... But he wanted to play the ball because the ball would have reached Mbappe who was offside! It doesn't make sense!"u lot need to study the rules of offside
Yeh that's just wrong, isn't it? The intentions of the defender are irrelevant. Nothing 'kills' the offside. Either he was in an offside position as the through ball was played, or he wasn't (he was). What happened after the first touch has no bearing. Maybe something has got lost in translation, but that's a nonsense explanation (not Busquets, the ref)Busquets: "the referee told us that Eric Garcia wanted to play the ball and that kills the offside...
