Couple of good stops from Hugo. Still can't understand that offside decision. The touch from the defender was irrelevant, he was offside and interfering with play from the through ball. Anything after that is effectively 'dead ball'.

Oh well. Good second half and another trophy for the skipper.

this Uefa league format, especially the last 4 has been great. so much better than playing meaningless friendlies

Busquets: "the referee told us that Eric Garcia wanted to play the ball and that kills the offside... But he wanted to play the ball because the ball would have reached Mbappe who was offside! It doesn't make sense!"

Yeh that's just wrong, isn't it? The intentions of the defender are irrelevant. Nothing 'kills' the offside. Either he was in an offside position as the through ball was played, or he wasn't (he was). What happened after the first touch has no bearing. Maybe something has got lost in translation, but that's a nonsense explanation (not Busquets, the ref)
