Playing CB, been a level above the rest imo and imo the best defender I have seen at this level(u20 world cup), at the end it was him and the keeper vs the Brazilian team

They've got some great youth systems. Partizan's is one of the best in Europe IIRC.

Interesting that the team who beat Spain U21's is missing 5 of the players who started due to them going U20 world cup and being promoted. Not to mention the U21's had a manager change(guy got promoted)

I like Veljkovic, but I think this is very generous. He was at fault for the goal conceded in the semi when he flinched out the way of the shot, and today he was also partially at fault for the Brazil equaliser, failing to tackle the scorer. Neither were great defending and other defenders in the Serbia games have been at least equally solid defensively.

I thought Serbia did defend well as a group, even Zivkovic gets back and gets stuck in, and Serbia are really good at counter attacking, quick transitioning from defence, but you have to say Brazil were a little unlucky to lose the final.

The more I saw of him, the more I liked Milinkovic, he has real physical presence, is tenacious, but also technically excellent with good vision. Really interesting player who I'm sure will have a future. Obviously Zivkovic is a real talent with the ball at his feet and showed he can play anywhere across the front 3 AM's. Also liked Maksimovic too.

Several of the Brazilian players were excellent. Showing high energy work rate combined with wonderful technique. Gabriel looked very talented.

Zivkovic's got a Hazard feel about him, albeit more raw - would like us to be looking at him which I'm sure we are in one capacity or another.
