There is a good chance that Nike will be buying them in the near future though

There has been talk that Nike want to buy them, but its one move i cant see happening as UA have grown so much over the last few years.

been to 3 this season, I don't think an adult should wear a replica top unless they are on a football pitch. I have always thought that.

absolutely agree. 100%. But then again i dont just think of football shirts like this. I think any wearing of sports wear in non sports situations is a bit tacky.. but thats just me.

As for supporting the club financially.. hmm, i'd rather not.

Going to a game or playing football are the only scenarios where I would wear my shirt. This isn't the 90's, this isn't Nick Hornby's Fever Pitch, more, I feel, is expected of men these days, sartorially speaking.

On the point of parent being pressured to buy a new kit each year I find this argument lacking. Kids get more wear out of the kits than anyone else, I lived in mine when I was little. Certainly worth the £25 they cost and prevented me wrecking the clothes my mum actually liked me wearing.

Under Armor was looking to sponsor my college's kit for next season and I have to say I was not impressed with the shit they offered us.

Obviously, THFC will be a getting or hopefully be getting a kit that is pretty unique so I'm hoping that what they give us is of better quality than what I saw.

I wanna see this one answered  i mean do you draw the line at just sports clothing or are we talking wearing trainers? jackets? anything branded? surely it's all advertising unless it's unmarked items? then your left with primark, next and Burtons.

By your logic though surely the training tops are in the same category as the replica shirt, only a tad more discrete and cheaper.

I just think a grown man wearing a replica football top looks very chavvy and basically it looks wrong.

At the game , OK I'll concede nothing wrong with that as you are wearing your colours but wearing one in the street or abroad on holiday just looks terrible.

The training tops I wear about the house or training, I wouldn't wear them out in public either. - Comfort wear really.

I do have a Tottenham Branded hoodie I wear out and about though, but its not plastered with sponsorship or made from cheap fabric.

As your from Bristol here's a vid you might enjoy!

[yt]eHazMyKZmRs[/yt]

I was in the Park Lane for this match, going mental celebrating like everyone else. And you will notice not a replica shirt in sight! You can have fun without a sponsor's logo, the wearing of replica shirts is mostly a modern thing, for many its the must have peice of kit, in fact its sadly replaced the scarf which i thought was more colourful while celebrating goals.

LOL!!!! You had to go back to 1977 to find a time when replica shirts weren't so big.

Yes fashion changes, hence why you (probably) no longer wear bell bottom suede trousers and large brass rim tinted glasses.

No-one is saying that you need to wear a replica shirt to have fun, we're saying that if someone wants to wear a replica shirt, because that person likes it and has more fun when wearing it then he (or she) should be allowed to do so without the condescension of others.

I'm not sure you can judge people for looking chavvy and then go on to admit wearing a spurs hoodie without there being some kind of pot calling the kettle black situation occurring here.

Wasn't that Admiral kit the first to be commercially available? Probably had something to do with why there were less people wearing them in the stands before 1978.

That was my first kit...don't know anything about commercialkly available, though - I were just a nipper. Did have an Ajax kit before it, though.

The Rock has signed a deal with Under Armour, we should invite him to The Lane.

Levy will be well ahead of you on that one. He'll have WWE in White Hart Lane and a 20 year rights package to show all the Rocks films at the new Lane Exclusively.
