They were willing to do a deal like this with us before so that does look possible. They were also happy to deal with Mr Levys multiple payment scenario for the Bent deal.

I'm inclined to believe this. Sunderland love double and triple deals with us.

They do have a bit of money and if we get £20m with some add-ons bolted on I'd take that.

Also as nedley said, were strengthening Sunderland no end.

I'd love to see Cattermole reunite with Palacios in the Summer, as Sunderland might then feel obliged to sell to us.

Sunderland are slowly but surely buying themselves a good quality Prem side that isn't a million miles off the likes of Villa or ourselves. Let's say Hutton and Bentley do go there, look at this as a first XI:

Still weak in some key positions (CB and LB jump out) and there's very little real strength in depth anywhere but in midfield (I've left out Steed, Henderson and Reid). However, they do seem to be coming up on the rails...
