I am not sure they will go as high as some of the figures mentionned. If I was Sunderland I wouldnt want to pay more than 15 mill, certainly not upfront. Could be a heavy clause-ridden deal, so we can announce a high overall potential figure that makes us look good.

If we could get £15m for the pair then Levy will be a fricking genius. There is hardly any money about this january, Sunderland know they will probably be one of the only teams who can offer us good hard cash for these two.

Im sure we'd get more for them now than in the summer, do Sunderland need them urgently? I can see it dragging on, Levy wanting 18m, Sunderland offering 13m, up until the last week then both sides finally negotiating.


Would rather Bentley went to Spain though as he is definately very talented and could come back to haunt us if Bruce gets him playing with confidence.

Those after 20m are dreaming, 15m and I'd be delighted. Usually multiple player deals are done as a way for the selling club to save face with a lump some fee, like a buy one get one half price, rarely used to bump UP the price.

I think Sunderland would be happy to pay £15m for both, as £5m for Hutton and £10m for Bentley.

but this is a loss for us, as we paid around £22-23m for them, so I think Levy could add clauses to up it to £17-18m .. to take that loss in 2 players.

Again, can't see us helping out an outfit in the top half of the table, we need our opponents to be weaker - it's gonna be a tough run in.
