If Harry is there on football business it wont be anything imminent.

It is well known that HR identifies a player he wants but leaves all the negotiations/talking down to Levy & co. I imagine only when he knows the player, re Defoe, Crouch, does he personally have a word, or if a player needs extra persuasion for footballing reasons.

Are we sure harry is there for football reasons?
I was fourtunate enough to share a box with 6 of Harrys friends for the Spammers game (Courtesy of Arry himself), and just like my gaffer at work they share an interest in all things italian. They did speak about learning italian and property in italy. My boss has been going italian classes for 3 years now and often visits the country with his old friends on business. This might be totally irrelevant, but I will ask my boss tomorrow if he knows why Arry has gone to Rome.
Hopefully its to bring back a player or 2 though (I reckon either Hunterlaar or a keeper)

It better be for footballing reasons.

I wouldn't be too impressed if he was overseas on holiday just a few days before our biggest match of the season.

As i said in the other thread that this quote should've been added to (in my opinion - it's not ITK to simply agree with another ITK and doesn't deserve it's own thread), Italy is a matter of hours away by plane, you can go there after breakfast and be home before dinner, doing business in between.

I wish people would stop acting like Harry's gone to war-torn Beirut or the moon or something - could be football related, could be that he's representing the club in another capacity, could be that he was getting someone a bottle of wine as a gift. Who knows? It really doesn't matter and i doubt we'll ever find out. Even if we do sign Muntari or someone, it doesn't necessarily mean this trip has anything to do with that so these threads, with no more information offered than there is at present, are nothing more than something which gives us scope to speculate on Italian based players that we might be interested in signing, at some point but possibly the summer.

BTW I do like the way that all the established ITKs are rushing to back up POTL, especially when POTL has 3 or 4 times the accuracy of the established ITKs

So what was so wrong with a bunch of players going to Dublin for the night when they had the following day off work

I never had a problem with it at all, i'm old though, remember - it wasn't long before my time that a players pre-game warm up was a cuppa and a fag

Still don't think this deserves it's own thread though, considering it was directly as a response to some ITK already in the open - if i started a thread just to agree with something another thread was already discussing i'd have my arms confiscated for 3 days.

According to my boss, Arry was planning on going to Italy soon to watch some football. he doesnt know if he is there now (didnt want to ring him), but knows harry went before to watch balotelli and muntari. both were available, not sure about now. I thnk balotelli was a loan option.

He said that he is gonna have lunch with harry next week so might ask him then for some info. If i work hard enough

That would just mean normal service resumed!

He is good for it to be honest. He promised me Harry was gonna provide my tickets for the spammers game, so i didnt buy them the normal way losing out on crucial loyalty points. As xmas eve arrived the gaffer was being very distant which had me quaking a bit. :eek:mg:

He called me into his office at about 3 oclock and gave me a card with a 1ner in it, but no mention of the spurs game until i was about to leave. When he reminded me to collect the tickets from the west stand on the monday. wahey!

When i got to the ground i was giving an evelope marked c/o Harry Redknapp, inside, 2 tickets to Harrys Box! Although i shared it with 6 of Harrys old pals, all of which were Hammers fans! lol:grin: turned out to be a laugh. especially watching how poor that lot were.
