If you look at Kaboul's tackling over his last 7 games, he has 10 of his 38 tackles in the opposition's half. Seems to me he has dismissed his centerhalf responsibilities and sees himself as a goddamn DM. Or, as has been said, he's positionally inept.

Love it. Crucify the bloke before he's even signed. Some sort of animal head slipped quietly onto his pillow and he may thankfully get the message.

Not denying that DP. Just that I believe YK may have developed somewhat since we flogged him. Prematurely I thought, although his comments in the press seemed to burn his boats with us once and for all. I think Harry must have worked with him enough to know he can get him to where he should be defensively. And if the rumours about Hutton going are true, Kaboul could even be our backup right back. He's played on the right side for Pompey I think, though whether in midfield or defence I can't recall. I'm not for a minute saying that you're necessarily wrong in your feelings about him, just that we shouldn't line up to hang draw and quarter Kaboul before he's had a fair chance.

I've always thought we played Kaboul in the wrong position, he seemed ideal DM fodder but i never felt comfortable when he was at CB. He also seemed to have a habit of making at least one absolute cock up a match followed by a match winning/saving moment half an hour later... Villa 4-4 rings a bell.
Harry played him there when he first went to pompy, so................

Yeah, he might be good temporary cover for CB and DM, with no one else looking as scary as Wilson, and with Ledley and Woddy heading for retirement...
