Surely they won't want Pav playing on Saturday so might put that into the deal or just wait another day.

Pav would have a nightmare in Birmingham, he thinks living in London is another planet from mother Russia, he will be in for a shock when he sees the Bullring. I really think it would be an unmitigated disaster.

I'm quite worried about Pav joining another prem team as I really don't think we've seen the best of him yet. The problem for Pav is that he obviously doesn't exude willingness to work hard in training and therefore falls short in Harry's eyes. Although this approach generally works well, I wonder if the nonchalant super star type of player is likely to slip through the cracks. For example, if Harry was in charge when Berbatov first joined and he didn't hit the ground running, would he have ended up at B'ham on his way to Man Utd instead?

Berbs was a top-class trainer and always gave loads of effort on the training pitch mate (until his pathetic stand-off and 'strike' at the end)...his aptitude was never in doubt with management.

I can't see Pav taking this move. McLeish has based Brum around discipline and effort - if Harry doesn't think he shows enough in training, what's Big Eck likely to think? His best option is to wait until the summer for a realistic offer from Russia.

I'm sure Levy can smell the money there. 8m was a ludicrous offer when 10m was turned down last summer.
