We could end up doing what we did with Chimbonda with Kaboul?

bring him back on the cheap and sell him off for a profit

I'm sorry, Who Farted?

He's just stating the obvious if Kaboul comes back. We won't buy two CBs this window.

Its funny you should say that Chris I was thinking the same, we get him cheap and sell him to a European club for £10m.

Typically good business by Levy if so.

I think King and Woodgate have had it, no long dragging out the inevitable.

This is what I reckon they're up to. Make a profit on centre back cover for the rest of the season? And make a profit on improving your strikeforce
(in effectiveness if not in ability) for that Champions League Push? Levyesque.

I think the Kaboul move is definately a strategic one. We're still owed around £2m which we may never see if they go bust. We've also reportly go a sell on clause with him. Therefore if we sign him back we definately get the £2m from Pourtsmouth and the sell on fee means we effectively don't pay as much as his market value. When then have Kaboul as an asset who can be sold in the future.

I don't we will get him in the summer. If he's a good as some people have been saying then i'm sure he'll have other options. Given our healthy financial position i think we should have stolen a march and got him now.

Agree with the above - Kaboul is potentially another Chimbonda style financial signing; he's not being bought to play particularly.

Obvious or not, HH passed this info on what he has heard Via Belgian Brownie on COYS

If you have a problem with HH and his info then just stay out of his threads rather than having digs at him.

Please don't take this the wrong way but at what point do members cross the line of freedom of speech and "having a dig" as you put it.

It would be nice if we had some clarification because members don't know if they can have an opinion or view on an ITKs info.

When you stop talking about the information passes on and start having a go at the poster.

You can always have a view and opinion on the information, and it doesn't have to be agreeing with it ether.

our last game King played. how is that the end?
Plus, this is not like the Sandro deal (not that it happened anyway) but we "might" get it done in the summer does not mean it is done + kabul could be gone by the summer also (hope so). So basically still no replacement on the horizon for King or Woody - TBH, I was really hopping to get this guy, and get him now!

If Kaboul doesn't sign for us this window I'd be surprised if Cash-Strapped Pompey (I think that's actually their official name now. It's probably on their letterheads and everything) held onto him. They're running out of 'assets'. Proven by the very fact that Kaboul is judged as one.

I think King and Woodgate have had it, no long dragging out the inevitable.

King played 90 minutes in our last game, and that came just a few days after his previous appearance. Had it? Doesn't look like it. Who knows, though. Maybe he'll call it a day at the end of the season.

Woodgate is more of a worry, and if he really is ruined we should be looking for a replacement.

However, if they are both done for, I would expect Redknapp to be looking for experienced replacements proven at a high level.

I would go along with the thinking that King will probably be fine or as good as he can be and give us a game a week or something along those lines and more than likely Woody is done and that is why we are snapping at the chance to buy good young replacements like Kjaer or Cahill.
