Oh the thought of actually needing Bentley is quite depressing. I'll be very surprised if he doesn't get a loan move to a championship side when the loan window opens in a week or so.

Ah marvelous. The twice-annual chortle at Jermain Defoe's middle name being Colin. :D

On a far less serious note, we seem to have more players in our first team squad than any other club in the top seven. But all I've heard is how light we are. Shurely shome mishtake.

Even accounting for Sandro being out and the absence of Kaboul and Ade (back soon), it's a decent number of players we have. Plus the Development Squad as good as any in the country.

Also, it should be noted that the last 25-man squad had 4 (four) goalkeepers in it. Two of which were never used. Even as subs. Take them out and it's much "as you were".

Finally, at the risk of being the Levy-Apologiser-In-General, it's worth noting that we only had 1/3rd of the season to go. 14 games. Even you count EL, it's only a minimum (and quite possibly a maximum) of 16 - yes, naturally we want to go further, but a run to the final wouldn't be that taxing given we have no other games.

I hope I'm not the only one feeling better looking at this list.

Well said, plus we can't possibly do worse over the next few months than we did this time last year, right?
