BTW, if everyone wins out, Auburn should be in the NC game.

Otherwise we might as well have Ohio St vs Northern Illinois. It's not all about being unbeaten.

Auburn's body of work is better, including if they beat #5 Mizzou this week.

:stop: Halt! Don't bring logic into college football.

But you are right. Auburn's schedule was much harder than Ohio State's.

Is this the last year of the current system? Hopefully it will be better over the coming seasons (optimistic ratings here...).

Anyhow, the best game for me would be FSU vs Auburn. Agree that OSU have pretty much cruised through the season.

Texas Longhorns rumoured to be hiring Charlie Strong from Louisville.
I'm a Longhorn fan (lived in Austin for a long time when I first moved Stateside).

What do you think of this choice? Think he will do well at TX?

Just over two weeks to go till CFB is back on! How is everyone feeling towards no BCS and computers this year but playoffs and no computers, with more reliance on the sight test.

My picks for that final four are Bama, Florida St., OSU and either OK or Oregon (I think OR. may have one too many losses in that Pac 12), with Bama v Florida St. in the National Champ. game.

As for my team Florida, I do not expect to see Muschamp here this time next year.

I like no computers and an end to the BCS and the introduction of a play-off system. Not really sure on which teams will make the final four as being here in the UK there isn't a massive amount of coverage until the season begins.

That said I wouldn't be surprised to see Bama, Florida State, Auburn and Oregon make it to the final four.

This could be a painful season for LSU - I can see us finishing no higher than 3rd in the West. We're probably going to be starting true freshmen at QB, RB and WR (and break in DL and OLB's as well) against Wisconsin.

I'm predicting Florida State, Bama, Oregon and Oklahoma to make the final four, though Ohio State, Auburn and UCLA could gatecrash the party.

Looking forward to seeing Duke as well - hope they can improve on last season.

Yeah, LSU will be interesting this year. The more games under the lights at your place the better. At least your know in Florida's position of having the worst team/coach in years and one of the toughest schedules in the country. I just cannot see Muschamp being there next season. We're ranked as finishing 3rd in the East, I honestly believe that could be much lower.

So much for my predictions. Oregon and Bama both lost this week and Oklahoma are currently losing to TCU.

It's a crap shoot now and it'll get even more interesting as we get later in the season. To me, Auburn is the best team in the country. Bama is up there as well. FSU is still a very good team, but they do not look as good as they were last season, IMO. I am interested to see Baylor the rest of the season. 6 of their last 7 are against some very good teams in their own right. Gonna be fun.

It's really upsetting knowing that if Rich Rodriguez had support at Michigan, Michigan would be in this conversation. Unfortunately, he had an entire AD up against him from day 1 and the former head coach doing all he could to sabatoge him from day 1. If only Bo Schembechler had still been alive then. Heads would have been rolling if he saw how terrible people were to RR before a single snap had been played. Instead, politics have turned a once great program into the laughing stock of college football. Fuck Lloyd Carr. Fuck Dave Brandon. Fuck Brady Hoke aka Fred Flinstone. Fuck Braylon Edwards. Fuck Desmond Howard. Fuck 95% of the former players from Carr's years. Fuck everything.

Yep, agree. FSU currently aren't close to their form of last year. The main weak area is the offensive line. Running game is also a little luckluster. DL has a load of injuries too. Winston looks pretty shaky at the minute TBH, although he grows in to games. I like the way Jimbo kept him in for most of the game yesterday. He's def. not all there uptairs ATM.

Can they keep going? Two tough games coming up. Turnovers and concussions have been a problem too. Now Rashad Greene is likely to miss the next game as well

Ole' Miss have looked dangerous all season so far and totally deserved their win on the weekend. Oregon have looked like losing a game this year, as have Alabama. Miss State, Auburn and Notre Dame all look really good at the moment (in better form than FSU dare I say it). Going to be one hell of a FSU-ND game in a couple of weeks. The fact that it's at Doak will help a bit.

Brilliant season so far. I could spend days watching it...

Nah. Notre Dame arent that good. I think FSU will win that one pretty easily. ND have been getting lucky this season, yet again. Kinda like a few years back when they got steamrolled in the NC game when they finally ran into a good team...Ole Miss is a crap shoot because you never know what Bo Wallace you are going to get.

If Washington State had a defense, they'd be pretty good. They're passing attack is legitimately unstoppable.

Agree. Did they lose to Oregon or someone already?

Going to be interesting to see the shake up in the rankings.

They're 2-4 because they dont have anything close to defense. Lost to Oregon by a TD. Lost last night to Cal 60-59(and they threw for 734 yards - an NCAA record). Lost to Rutgers by a field goal and lost by 9 to Nevada. They can throw the ball at will but cant defend if their lives depended on it.

And the rankings are already out. The coaches poll is pretty laughable
