I've had a Barcelona pennant on my bedroom wall since I was knee-high to a grasshopper, but now I look at it with disdain because of spursandbarca.

I agree about liking Barca less than before but that definitely doesn't mean I will support that joke of a club they are rivals with.

Tottenham Hotspur will make a last-ditch attempt to bolster their squad before the transfer window slams shut by bidding for Real Madrid midfielder Rafael van der Vaart.

Spurs’ boss Harry Redknapp watched playmaker Luka Modric fracture his fibula in yesterday’s 2-1 win over Birmingham City, and the Croatian faces months of rehabilitation to be able to return to action.

Redknapp will want to act quickly to maintain the momentum of his side’s excellent start to the season, and according to reports from Spain, he has earmarked the Dutchman as an ideal replacement.
