I've seen the guys Fifa videos years ago, and some of them are quite funny (his Gooner persuasions didn't come out in those!). And this is just his general style of video, so I didn't find it very funny.

Had no idea he was a gooner though lol, sucks to be him!

Reports now saying it's possible he may do a rooneyesqe u-turn and still sign a new contract as he still is going to have meetings with gazidis when he returns from holiday.

Why have meetings if you are defo leaving is what's being said.

Yea, looks like it could be a tactic to force his wage up and perhaps pressure Arsenal into spending more to become more competitive

He's apparently settled in London family wise with his kids happy in school etc

Its very true, why hold further talks if you have stated you will not be signing a new contract and want out of the club? what else is there to say really?

Shame if he doesn't leave because Arsenal simply couldn't replace him if he did.

Maybe he has one of these percentage of transfer fee clauses in his contract, and he is prepared to discuss, or even waive that, if the Goons play ball in selling him. Not saying that is it - but there are possible reasons for talks that still involve him leaving the club.

To tell them he could obviously go to Man City/Juventus/United but £200,000 a week would make him stay.

I don't think Van Persie would be tricked into staying at Goons just for more cash... He wants trophies presumably - the one thing he can't get with his current employers. :)

YEa I think he is going to be pushing them to make the type competitive against the likes of Man City and Utd not to keep them toe to toe with us and whoever else wants CL football.

I'm sure ideally he'd like to stay, but equally I am sure he wants to pad his career honours list so Arsenal will have to make some assurances and produce.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him stay without signing a contract watching how well they do and ready to walk out for free if they don't make the type of progress he is looking for.

I'm sure money is something of a factor, although I am not sure its that much of a factor as Arsenal are probably willing to pay him a lot as it is (even though City would pay more)

I expect him to leave for Italy in all honesty... I hope he does go 'cos (through gritted teeth) he's a fine player, and actually comes across as a rather smart, articulate fellow whenever I've seen him interviewed. Good riddance I say!

I'm kinda expecting him to still be an Arsenal player come the end of the window.

Hopefully he will move and they won't try to replace him preferring to show faith in Chamakh instead

According to BBC he has been left out of Arsenal's tour to Asia and that Manchester United/City & Juventus have all made bids in the region of 15m.

Of those 3 offers, I'd only go to one from Arsenal. I cannot see United winning another title for time, unless they get their debt issue sorted via this IPO in the US and Serie A is always going to be a step down from the Prem.

He will not hit the heights of last season again, out of the three I would say Man U is the best for him. I don't see him being a prolific goal scorer in Italy at all. I think he should have stayed with the scum, he will regret leaving I reckon. If I was wenger I'd push for 20-25 million that would be a great deal for an injury prone striker who has had one prolific season

Can never write them off... add a midfielder to the RvP signing mix and they will be right up there again. If of course they don't getr either then they may well struggle.

I expect him to go to City to re-unite with the other Arsenal ship jumpers and for it to be all about the money.

I agree, he stayed fit for once in his life and carried them, without his goals they would have finished below Liverpool. He had a spell, all players have them.

Spurs Stat Man on twitter - Robin van Persie scored the same number of goals in his first 139 PL games as he has in his last 55

I think the moose said in one of his tweets that RVP had a £198K a week agreement with City.

All about the money and the best chance of winning trophies. Unfortunately they go hand in hand these days and at his age, I really can't blame him.

I'd even leave Spurs for Man City at the moment!

Yes and no...

Money excellent for sure and when you have a short career you have to do what is right for you and any family. I do not begrudge players wanting to make the most of that, we all do the same in own careers and football, like it or not, is a career, a payed job.

That being said, game time at City is gonna be on short supply, even for the likes of RvP. With Aguero, Dzeko, Tevez, Balotelli... jeseus, add RvP to that!!!!

Surely someone is leaving to merit buying RvP, that or City just don't wnt him going to a rival, but that's just so bloody anti-football.

Oh yeah, I forgot, Adebayour and Roque "neversignedforSpurs" Cruz are leaving.
