September isn't too bad really - 3, maybe 4 games without him but, as has been previously mentioned, Kev Wim is a more than capable replacement. He was very unlucky to lose his place when Jan returned as he struck up an excellent partnership with Toby in those few months he featured. Also, Eric Dier could fill in at the back thanks to the addition of Wanyama and our existing plethora of central midfielders

Or Ben Davies ;)

I didn't say he should be ahead of Wimmer, just provide another option...

Yeah I know buddy. I only said it because you're not the first one to suggest that idea in the last few days. It's as if people have, perhaps, forgotten just how well Wimmer did for us when called upon last season. Best of all, that was his first taste of PL footy so, in theory, he'll be play better if given the nod at the start of the upcoming season.

Surely wimmer will play while Jan is out n if anything else happens dier will fit in there.wanyama covers moussa for 1st few games while on bench until everyone's back Davies/Carter vickers n mason/bentaleb in midfield.want a striker in soon!

Nice to see we have quality cover for a player as good as Jan makes me realise how our squad is developing
